The stretch for making the menu not so damn boring and repetitive is reaching WTF levels.
I hate cooking. Now that that's established. Ain't got time nor desire to hang around a stove more than 30 minutes
Crack 10 eggs in pan, toss the yeller, mash up big ass scoop of tofu (cause its veggies n shit) in eggs, 1 spoon full of honey over concoction, and scramble. Tofu blends in site and taste, so its just honey eggs with extra protein.
Edit: I think this needs sauteed mushrooms in it. Will report.

My staple during bulk up:
Chicken breasts (and, any of the kabillion seasonings and sauces you can add to it) and sweet 'taters.
Switch off, chicken breasts and rice steamed in coconut milk.

Can get on a kick of chicken breast til it starts tasting like rubber. Then to tuna til it taste like straight fish, ground meat for a bit cause red meat is the best.
Run out of ideas constantly. Or just don't feel like eating those 3.
Hunting season, dads freezer is stacked with deer ground meat now.

The key to the long term viability of chicken?
Buy free range organic sht. I literally could not tire of it. So tender...
Supermarket / Store bought sht, I won't even eat anymore. They are small, and pricy, but, completely worth it. We buy from a local farm, and it's incredible.

so ive been doing 5 sets of 5 dumbbell bench with the 100s, today i did 6 sets of 3 with the 105s and just for kicks i did a 7th set with the 85s that i struggled with like 6 months ago. they were f*cking baby weight. i just went to failure with them and got 11 reps even after 6 sets.

Feels good. You don't notice you're making gains until you start warming up with your previous max. Gives you a motivation surge and you start lifting harder, which inturn gets higher results.
Sure beats burning out doing the exact same weight for 6 months and seeing nothing.

Chicken thighs are a good alternative to breasts.....they hold moisture and flavor way better

Except chicken thighs have slightly more calories, higher fat content, less protein, more cholesterol and sodium. Key word being 'slight', for all these differences....but, if you're going through 4-8 breasts a day, it ends up being pretty substantial over a month....

Fat isn't a bad thing, either are calories (especially if someone is doing a demanding routine), sodium ain't nothing to worry about either...sweating and drinking water means you need salt
Protein per 4 oz is 20g for thighs, 23g for breast....damn close
I'm not advocating a total switch over, but subbing in a few meals a week helps with the boredom of eating breasts all the time.
I know I've reached that point where the chewiness starts feeling like gum

I tell ya...organic free range....hormone free, and all that jazz.
Makes all the difference. It's almost like its a different meat entirely.
We get ours at an urban farmers market where a limited supply is brought in from the country Thurs through Sunday. 1 breast is literally the same size as a deck if cards. A cups for sure. Lol
No chewy, no funky taste to leftovers, just yum.
Well worth the additional cost.

Thighs are the tastiest part of the bird, IMO. We started getting organic chickens just because the size of other chickens in the store is just plain creepy. Chicken breasts shouldn't look like they came off a turkey.
Got to admire the dedication some of you have. I like food too much to limit meals to drab, just what the body needs servings.

I've never been an unhealthy eater....so, even going from breasts to thighs, tastes fatty and greasy.
Always eaten extra lean ground beef, never cooked with butter or oil, and use spices and herbs for flavor instead of calorie rich sauces. I just don't know any different. Even salads, I usually eat them without dressing, save Caesar salads. Greek salads are my fave. A few Mediterranean spices and some balsamic vinegar, and it's da shizzo.
I just don't have the palate for rich foods. Don't miss what you don't know.

so my gym got these bumper plates a couple months ago, while they were in the middle of an expansion. they had leased the space next door and gained a good bit of sq.ft. of new gym space. so the gym has been in a constant state of them trying to re-arrange shit and find the best use of the new space. the space was filled with all the cardio equipment.... and the bumper plate tree rack.
so for 2 months ive had to walk from the weights area, across the gym and navigate through the treadmills to the far corner of the gym and get the plates and bring them back to the weight area. made ZERO sense. the last thing you wanna do after deadlifts is carry a bunch of 45lb plates across the gym. so i would give them a hint and leave the plates stacked up in the area where they should be.
well they didnt get the hint so last night i left the staff a note asking them to move the tree to a place where it makes more sense. we shall see if they listened.
