Check the serving size. All are different.
It may say 40 grams per serving on the front, then the serving size is 2 scoops.

yeah, the powder I use is 25g per scoop, after a workout I do 1.5 scoops, and just 1 scoop in the morning pre-breakfast

I'm doing one scoop for a snack during the day, then 2 scoops of a low carb protein after working out. Trying to cut most carbs out after 2 pm.

If you find that you get hungry and you want to maintain that lower calorie intake but get more mileage from your protein? Try casein protein. It is a longer digesting protein that takes on average 4 hours to digest.

im actually on the market for some whey protein, i used to take GNC brand 100% whey and it was pretty good. but ive been out of the game for about a year or so and i dont know whats out there now.

Maximum Nutrition makes a protein/meal replacement (lower calorie) that I have been really happy with. I am not sure you can get it anywhere else as I think he has it made for his store. You can get it online though.
Once I have established that the protein powder is good, the single greatest thing I look for in a protein powder is the taste. Too sweet or too chemical tasting and it won't get used. The next thing I look at is how well it mixes with both milk and water. I am very active and so I will carry at any given time 2 - 3 little mixers of protein powder already mixed in 6 ounces of water.
Since the DPS Nutrition site stopped selling the protein I liked I have not been happy with any protein and about the closest I got to an enjoyable tasting and well mixing protein was Gaspari Nutrition's "MyoFusion". It had slight issues mixing up well. But on my scale of 100 with 100 being the best I would say
MyoFusion:
Taste = 90
Mixing = 85
Satiety = 60 (then again it is a fast digesting protein)
Now however I needed to switch to a meal replacement and bought the Max Blend 7. It has to be one of the best tasting protein powders I have ever had (though it is a meal replacement) and mixes even better with water or milk than the protein I used to get from DPS nutrition.
24g protein/13g carbs/5.5g fat @200 calories with 7 different proteins including casein for time release or slow digesting.

I do however still use Xtreme Formulations Ultra-Peptide right before I go to bed if I feel extra hungry or think I might get up in the middle of the night to eat because as you stated it digests slowly.

I'm using the Whey Protein Isolate and it works pretty fast. And taste good.

There is a certain brand that I remember by sight, the Vanilla was horrible. Like it left sand in the bottom of the cup, after 2 failed mixed cups of water, I threw it out. Now I fear spending over $30 on anything other than straight chocolate.

LOL. That episode was hilarious. The low carb protein I've been using is called Protizyme. FCKING BEST TASTING PROTEIN I'VE EVAR HAD. Peanut butter cookie makes me semi-chub.

Day 2 - Off

one off day in between the same muscle group isnt enough. hell when you do 2 or 3 exercises per group, you need more than one day to recover. most pro bodybuilders work a group once a week. you dont have to work it more than once if you work the shit out of it that one day.
