haven't unlocked flak jacket or Counter UAV, both of which are absolutely necessary in HQ

Spawns are pretty bad on some maps, but that's fixable. What killstreaks you think are overpowered?

the kill streaks stacked and looked op in all the vids.. Probably makes for an "exciting game". I'm sure the Treyarch guys put in a lot of thought onto that subject, especially since it was omitted in blops 1.

Unlocked the cancer causing agent while solo, but, for the eleventy-fifth time, I got whacked from a game I was winning. Yes, I. Mega caps, defends....gone.
Played 20 games, got kicked from close to half of them. All winning games, all losses.
Review: insta death, takes clips to kill though. UAV works, for now. Farmers be farming worse than ever. Maps are like corn mazes. Grenades are like nukes, but must be 37 lbs. throwing hem is ridiculous.
Cancer streak is awesome. Until you face it.
Trains move, on an HQ base, and can kill you.
Lots of camper windows. LOTS.

If I didn't get kicked all night, I might hate it less.

its fast paced to be fair. Yank lobbies have tonnes more campers though.
The automatic doors on that map are annoying because you always have to wait on them to open when you are sprinting. When is flak jacket unlocked?

Those doors are dumb. People can pop by, shoot and then have door close when they are out of ammo, or need protection. You can't pre stun or pre nade the hallway or room behind it.
But yay, let's make all sorts of sht move so our developers can have jizz moments, even if it fcks up the feel of the game.
But really, all the maps are like a fcking maze. If it's not a hallway-laced building, its a tunnel laden outside area....or a bunch of train cars you have to navigate through.
Head glitch spots are just about everywhere too. Waaaay more than BO, but not sure if it's the same as MW3. Feels like it.
I think the biggest issue remains the community.

My impressions so far?
Not even at 3 hours yet, but I've played enough to pick up on a couple things.
Firstly, 5 years on, you'd think that Treyarch would be able to predict and plan for the opening couple days. I had to give up trying to play today after not getting into a game for 30 minutes. I tried solo, in a party, different gamemodes, different people in my party, nothing worked. Hopefully they have this stuff ironed out before the weekend. The menus and lobbies are also horribly laggy, the friends list doesn't work (keeps flying up or down 10 spots at random)
Other than that, it's been fun. The gun damage in low for Call of Duty (feels like 4-5 bullets to kill every time, rather that 2-3 in MW3) Makes the game more skill based. The connections are really good, like MW2 good. I can count on one heand the number of times I've felt cheated by connection, people die when I shoot them, and when I die it's usually my fault. The game plays very fast, I actually like the spawns, they are far more predictable than MW3.
SMGs are very powerful, I'd advise against using a silencer on them, turns them into hitmarker machines. The Assault Rifles are decent, I've used the MTAR a bit and it is a good gun, I've heard that the AN94 and the Scar are both very good. Recoil seems low on all of the guns, with a grip it's almost zero.
UAVs are everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Every game has a constant uav, right from the start untill the end. When I unlock Counter uav it's going on, also considering using Ghost when I get it. Yet to decide whether it's acceptable or not, I played against a guy who was using Ghost and rushing like mad with it and he did pretty well. It's certainly a viable rushing option. the scorestreaks are tough to get, but damn are they powerful. If you can reach the high ones they are worth 15-20 kills, but they are very rare. I've only seen two lodestars called in and a few choppers in 3 hours of play, the lightning strike is a really good streak (particularly on HQ) You don't really need lots of kills to get lots of points or to rank up, as long as you play the objective you are going to get lots of points.
Once the servers are sorted, I can see this game being a lot of fun. Smooth connections, people are moving and playing the objective, in particular objective play is rewarded greatly. The few farmers I've come across have not done well at all. It's a game that you guys and other players like us will do well on, and hopefully have fun on.
Also I have a feeling that Alpha is going to love the KSG, weird gun but if you practice with it it'll be very potent.

I too liked the rate at which a gun kills someone. I never felt like they were a bullet sponge. However, the absence of lag isn't soemthing I've been fortunate enough to enjoy.
I can kill fair. People generaly are where their on-screen pixels say they are, but I still die before I see someone, which is unfortunate.
The lightening strike is awesome. Like a mortar team, but fast as fck. Hence, 'lightening'. lol
Might run ghost to counter lag. Depends on what I have to forego.

You can play against bots. They've also added all the objective modes to combat training, so you can have games of HQ with bots if you'd like. The bots are also a lot more realistic, I'm actually very impressed by what they've done with them

I would say that the connections are deceptively bad meaning, they've done a good job "masking' the moments you're lagging. In Black Ops 1, you knew when you were lagging because frame rate would go in the toilet, or characters would be skipping across the screen. In BO2, it's all smooth, then you see a drastically different kill cam than what you witnessed as the death was happening

Haven't had this at all, when I've watched killcams it's not that different from what I saw.

To be fair, the one game I played solo, it was MUCH better. I wrecked the lobby.
In a party, it was all about deceptive lag and large discrepancies in time to kill.

UK is tiny, plus I'm fairly sure I've had host on most of the games I've played.

Lag is a huge problem because whatever match-making system they designed, it doesn't work as it's supposed to.
Even after installing Blops2 and putting search pref. to best connections, you'll still be 2-barring roughly 3/10 matches.
The balance of the multiplayer is garbage. UAV is totally OP, until everyone starts hitting level 55 and staying there for Ghost. In which case Ghost will be OP as you won't be able to find anyone. SMG's = hip sprayers, AR's = headglitchers, Snipers = rageinducers.
You cannot hear any enemy footsteps. If you have Dead Silence and Awareness, and Astro A40's you cannot hear someone sprinting on metal walkways with no 3rd perks. I've tested this out, and it's true. There is absolutely no sound-whoring at all.
My two most used weapons are the PDW - 460 kill and the Combat knife at about 180 kills, just FYI.
Killstreaks are horribly unbalanced, as Care Package pretty much makes running high streaks pointless. But if you do run high streaks they stack like mofo's. I'd imagine high level dudes with Hardline + Ghost to be the pointstreak slayers, after some time.
Shock charges are extremely gay. They basically stun/flash claymores for your tactical slot and are hella abusive in objective games. Same goes for Guardian killstreaks, pointless in something like KC or TDM but rapetastic in HQ or HP.
FFA is absolute garbage, and as mostly a FFA player, I will not play FFA in Blops2; it's a total spawn clusterfuck of gayness. Spawns blow ass dick in this game.
One other thing, I'd return it but I can only get $30 store credit for it. So I guess I'm stuck with it unless Smoke ends up buying it off me.

second session thoughts: this game is gonna get old quick. The maps are shit. Every room/building has 15 entrances and theyre all mazes. Its fast paced but the killstreaks are gay as fck. They paper plane things are a joke. Uav is up 24/7 and because map layout is ballocks youre screwed. Community is the same old. Everyone uses the same gun with a supressor which sounds like shit. Shock charges are bent too, way too strong. Game seems like same old meh.
