1. Campaign:
lulz, there's no campaign. There are a series of training missions and AI battles you can do solo, or with up to three people (and it'll grant you in game currency for meeting certain goals). Speeder bike chase on endor is absolutely spectacular, especially as a huge Star Wars fan. The missions are repetitive, and remarkably similar, but extremely fun to do in a low stress kinda way. I like to try different load outs and see if I can do better than last time. To be honest, I'm disappointed in the lack of campaign, but that would have taken a lot longer, and I prefer to have the game right now.
2. Multiplayer:
Overall, I think the multiplayer is amazingly fun. For me, the good greatly outweighs the bad
The good:
A. Graphics: probably the most beautiful game I've ever seen on a console. Playing on Endor is difficult, because you become so tempted to just look around at the scenery. Every map is realistic to the universe to a degree not ever seen in a Star Wars game, and the detail is unimaginable. Dice absolutely nailed it
B. Sounds: as usual, Dice continues to have the best sound design in all of gaming. Directionality, Weight (bass/depth), and accuracy to original movie sounds makes the game incredibly immersive. Hearing the walkers feet stomp the ground, the lasers firing, the thermal imploder sound...
the sounds have been a huge contributor to the almost constant smile on my face when I'm playing
C. Complete lack of bulls*it: No killstreaks, no attachments, simple load outs with only 3 "star cards" that provide grenades or extra (non game breaking) ability. Setting up a class takes no time, and you're out in the action. It's the complete antithesis to COD. No wall running, no invisibility, just run and gun.
D. Gameplay: smooth as butter, solid 60 fps. Vehicle controls can be a bit tough till you get the hang of it, but it took me three games of fighter supremacy to start topping the lobbies. Game modes have plenty of objective play, and you are rewarded for doing so. Walker Assault and Supremacy are exciting, and Droid Run (domination, but the three "flags" are always moving) is a fun take on a traditional mode. There's also a CTF style game, a drop zone mode, and TDM. Of course, TDM has the most camping, but in a game where the TTK is high, it certainly does not pay off whatsoever. Plenty of stuff to do, but there is one significant drawback....
The Bad:
A. Lack of maps: While stunningly gorgeous, having only 4 planets is a bit unacceptable. True, we're getting a new planet on December 1st, but there are so many other places in the Star Wars universe for them to have included.
B. 20v20: The two biggest game modes, while never boring, could use a scale up in size. Battlefield 4 had up to 32 per side, and allowing that (along with a corresponding increase in map size) would make the battles even more epic. I never feel "out" of the action, but everything feels a bit condensed.
C. Lack of campaign: I get why, but it still sucks.
For me, the game is a 9/10. It's extraordinarily fun, which (for me) does make up for the lack of planets. Highly recommend it to everyone.

This game is getting slammed across the internet. People are posting such negative reviews. Most of then harp on your negative opinions and slightly build on those.
I guess people expected more when they have been waiting 10+ years for this game to come out.

Beyond content, I really don't know how anyone can slam the game. Could be a matter of outrageous expectations, or romanticizing the old games, but this game is fantastic.

from EA
"Hello everyone,
It’s been just one week since we launched Star Wars™ Battlefront™ around the world, and on behalf of our teams at DICE and EA, I wanted to thank you for joining us on this awesome journey. And what a start! Star Wars Battlefront is the biggest launch of a Star Wars™ video game ever and is the largest digital launch in the history of EA.
Even better than that, we’re thrilled that you’re having a lot of fun. We’ve been watching all of the great moments and memories you’ve been creating with your friends. You’ve proven that stormtroopers can actually aim, that the Millennium Falcon does indeed have it where it counts, and that the Force™ really is strong with Luke. In just a week, you’ve already taken down more than 15 million AT-ATs. Absolutely incredible.
Best of all, this is just the beginning. We have lots of new content coming over the next several months that will provide new ways to immerse yourself in Star Wars.
In two weeks, The Battle of Jakku launches. Taking place 29 years before the events of Star Wars™: The Force Awakens™, The Battle of Jakku is a free DLC pack* that adds two new maps (including one for popular modes like Walker Assault and Supremacy) and a new mode to the game. The coolest thing is that it’s the only place you’ll be able to experience the pivotal events that help shape the look of one of the next iconic planets in the Star Wars universe. We can’t wait for you to step onto Jakku for the first time with us.
Of course, we are also planning to support Star Wars Battlefront with new content well into the future. We will be adding more of what you love about the game, like new maps and Star Cards, for free in the coming months, in addition to all of the content we have coming with Season Pass. We’ll have more to share soon.
Thank you again for your amazing passion so far for Star Wars Battlefront. Keep playing, keep your feedback coming and we’ll keep listening.
May the Force be with you,
Patrick Söderlund"
glad they're sending stuff our way (and for free)...pretty sure the "lack of content" was due to time constraints since the game had to be out before the movie
absolutely loving this game, more maps will just add to the fun

There's some good deals on XB1 for cyber Monday...seriously considering halo 5 and Titanfall
Wed Nov 25, 2015 11:26 pm
#69463I still have campaign related achievements to get for Halo 5, so if you get that let me know. My Titanfall achievements are bugged (unless the XBL update fixed it.), and would need to reinstall the game and all the content, again. Think I was on GEN 8 when I went back to playing Destiny.

Natas and I are probably getting this over the next few days or so.
That could be a party of 5 possibly (with Godz in there too).

I played some drop zone and was actually having fun. I didn't really encounter any BS.
Game is smooth, no lag, even though its 10v10.
TTK is high so only those who have decent aim can kill you.
And like Chisa said, we will wreck as a team. I was averaging like 2-4 KD every game.

There was something I cant remember about this game that put me off of it. I remember having fun playing it whilst I did.. but something turned me off of it.
Been so long that im not sure I'd remember what it was if I turned it on today lol.

The lack of maps hurt it for a while, but there's plenty now, especially after this comes out on Tuesday
