Don't know how you do your shoulders, but side rsises are good there, rather than with traps.
I did traps with shoulders and then again with back. Small group, space it out a few days....
Chest, add dips, if you have something to do them on.
For tris, and IMO, it's a GOOD one, but weighted bench dips. Hands on one bench, feet on another, plates on lap. Get to 90 degrees, and 1 from failure. Pull off a plate and repeat. Pull off another and repeat.
Used to do these with 3 x 45 lbs on lap....if someone can unload for you, makes a world of difference.

The side flies are 2 different routines.
For shoulders, its literal. Stand with 2 dumbells and extend up to sides.
For the trap routine, its a hanging 1 arm fly. I grab a parallel bar that's 4 ft high and lean 45 degrees. Then do flies 1 arm at a time, really hits deep and gets a lot of pressure off the knife stabbing that sets in on side flies.
Dips are a must. Must get them back in there some how. Looking into a self supported station.

Is that moderate weight? Couldn't hardly go heavy on same muscle groups 3 days a week.
Guessing OHP over head press and CGBP close grip bench press
Anyone have preferred workout time, or hate having to do the opposite. Usually 6-7pm is that time. On this bullshit 11am-8pm work shift so I gotta do the crap before 9am. Still tired, stiff, and cold at that time. Fk titty babies customers and their late appointments.

I prefer my workouts after work, I have less than zero motivation to do it when I wake up, as I have a difficult time waking up anyway (during the work week)....weekends, I'm fine hitting the gym/class just after waking up, though, I take my damn time getting out of bed

Used to love going in at 9pm-11pm.
Morning workouts require a good 15-20 min stretch and bike ride to get blood flowing.
My days start at 5am anyway, so, once I get rolling working out again, weekends will be an 8am workout, without the creaky feeling of something earlier.

I weighed the other day....and after a month of not working out and binge eating (December was ROUGH) I weighed 183 pounds....less than my senior year of high school. Now I feel like a weakling. I need to get on the weights rather than p90x apparently.

Now you see the fun poking we do about plyos and yoga days. Excellent routine for toning up and getting limber. But is that your real goal here? There's a difference in muscle shred and too much cardio shred.
More in the mental game. I rather pack a few extra lbs and constantly push more weight than pose for Abercrombie and not be able to bench my body weight.

I mean I can bench 240-250 and squat close to 350, but I'm starting to think I could probably lose fast just as much by hitting the weights. And for the record, I don't do yoga.

cut out most carbs, up your protein/fats and you'll lose weight while keeping muscle and not have to worry about cardio.....I've dropped 15 pounds since early December, and going back to the gym after a month layoff showed barely any loss of strength, I'll be back to normal next week
keep those macros where they should be and you'll have nothing to worry about
this being said, I'm working on my cardio on my off days to up my in class endurance
I'm also cutting way back on my lifting, two days a week with three specific exercises each day...that's all I need right now

A lot of the fighters (BJJ practitioners ) cut out weight training due to muscle bulk and tightening. It keeps them from getting in and out of a lot of holds, so they keep the lean dexterity instead of the brute strength.
Then you have Rousimar Palhares, who will rip your leg off and beat you with it.
This guy invites the combat fight and prays you take it to the ground.

LOL at the picture, dude is a beast
I'm focusing on squats, deadlifts, military press, and bench mostly
with the exception of deadlifts, I'm doing lighter lifts but focusing on explosive action....I stretch every day now, to keep myself as limber as possible
two days a week, combined with the body weight warmups at class and my strength is skyrocketing.....grip is getting better too

I watched the Top 100 Submissions this weekend. This dude had like 8 of them. Blew out 8 separate knees.

Deadliest fighter after he grabs your leg. If you don't tap, you're getting carried out the ring. Nickname is tree trunk or tree stump. Rushes you, picks you up for a slam, rolls and has your foot or leg bending backwards in under 60 seconds.

Brazilians, they're all on HGH. Horse Growth Hormones.
Their body stature is what we work years to try and get but fail. None of them workout, they're all ground artist.

Don't deny yourself carbs to lose weight.
Eat smart, and if weight loss is the goal, burn more calories than you take in. It really is that simple.

low carb has done better for me weight wise, than any other regiment I've followed....I feel better and perform better.
once I'm at my target weight, I'm adding back in fruit and brown rice
processed carbohydrates are the absolute worst thing one can eat while trying to lose, the triggered release of insulin just signals for storage and there's way too many calories for how unfulfilled one feels after a carb rich meal
people who don't have enough energy on low carb diets aren't eating enough good fats, as it's the primary energy source

I'm taking in plenty of carbs. I remember a while back you said I wasn't eating enough, and I noticed it with my energy level at work. Started back eating brown rice for lunch and can tell an incredible difference. I'm right at 6'1" and around 183. I'm not worried about looking huge, I just want to be tone and fit with of course define muscle structure. Just seeing 183 the other day was like

That's the point right there.
You've done low carb before, and went off it. Weight came off, but came back on again.
There is this rebound effect with the low carb fad. It's great to lose some weight with it, but diet wise, the maintenance of it is nearly impossible. The long term management of that lost weight through low carb just isn't there for most people. It is a short term solution used by a lot of people, many of whom are part of the fitness industry.
People just can't/don't/won't follow that kind of regimen for the duration of their lives.
There was a study that tracked 100+ obese people, where half did low carb, the others did high carb. Weight loss was identical in both groups, however, the high carb group had higher mood levels, and were able to keep their losses off.
I'll see if I can find it.

I don't know how people have trouble following this, it's incredibly easy and I find it satisfying.
People put the weight back on because they go back to eating what caused the problem in the first place.
I've found my mood and mental acuity to be awesome, which is surprising considering this is usually the time of year when I get depressed.
I should note, as a type 1 diabetic, I'm also reaping the benefits of better blood sugar control and less insulin use overall.
