I'm starting college in a couple of weeks.
Have any of you taken any interesting classes or electives that you would recommend?
For example, one of my favorite authors recommended that everyone take a class on ethics if possible during college. I would recommend that all of my friends in high school take a particular psychology class.
My schedule for first semester includes:
Calculus 1
Biology w/ Lab
Philosophy 101
Psych 101
and a neuroscience advisory course
Any off the wall/unexpectedly useful or enjoyable classes you guys could recommend?

dont take any classes that are partially online. you will forget to do the online homework and quizzes and you will drop the class 3 times before you change your major.

Neurophilosophy....once you have the necessary prerequisites.
I had the honor of working with someone who was regarded as one of the pioneers of that field.

Sounds interesting. My major is neuroscience with a focus in neuropsychology (as opposed to neurobiology) so I'm sure classes like that will be right up my alley.
Did you learn anything notable/cool in the class?
Good to see you posting, btw.

Well, it's just a technical branch within Philosophy of Mind....and, pretty much everything within Phil. of Mind is of interest.
For me, I was drawn to it because of the mind-brain discussions (brain being the physical apparatus, the mind being the processes within that apparatus).
Take any and as many phil of mind classes and you won't be disappointed.
