I try to consider the facts of the hardware. 360 runs better than PS3. I know that, I admit that, but I like PS3 because Sony's studios are simply amazing (Last Of Us has a 96 on Metacritic, comes out next week if interested). However, PS4 is the more powerful next-gen, AND easier to program for. Win win.
If you want to get really technical, I found this about the Xbone's engineering woes:
" It's been suggested on Beyond3D that the SRAM array may literally be too large for signals to travel the physical distance in time to be considered valid in a single clock cycle. No one has ever made a pool of SRAM this large before. IBM uses EDRAM for their large CPU caches. Maybe that's in part because they were not sure SRAM could scale effectively do to such issues. If correct, that means the normal measures you'd take to improve yields (additional cooling, deactivating defective regions, even increasing production runs) would not be effective. But lowering the clock would give a signal more time to travel through a wire."

well seeing as my internet has never gone out except for when the power goes out that really doesn't bother me.
If that standard controller for the ps4 wasn't made for midgets I'd go out and get a ps3 and a ps4 later but no, they make tiny toy controllers.

the controller for the ps3 (and the ridiculously slow XMB) have always been my only complaint
my hands prefer the xbox controller, too bad that mlg pro xbox style controller for ps3 sucked balls
though, I do prefer the button/trigger sensitivity of the ps controller

Here's the Xbone:
That big chip on the right is the APU, 400 square mm. That is a freaking huge chip. The High-End Intel Core i7 Ivy Bridge is 133 square mm. Going with a chip that big on the Xbone was a huge gamble.

That's what most people are calling it now. It's just an easy abbreviation.

Not being able to let others borrow you game or play it on another console is the stupidest thing ive ever heard.
Was just listening to people talk about it on this live stream.
"When you buy the game you are actually purchasing the license for it. XB1 will only let you transfer the license to someone else ONCE. Meaning if you want to let a friend borrow it, you transfer the license to them and they now won it and you cannot have it back. So no borrowing".
The entire process is cloudy and unclear. I read somewhere devs will be able to decide if you can buy 2nd hand games or not. Something like they can choose to not let you sell or buy within the first few months of a games lifespan.
I dont know.

its definitely 'dodgy'. Microsoft needs to address it but the silence from them just points at it being true imo.

Ive heard they cancelled all post media sessions after the press conference. So they will not be fielding any questions, and no one will know anymore than we already do.
Stupid Xbox. They didnt say anything about it during the reveal today did they? I missed basically the entire thing but a little bit of Halo and Titanfall.

Rumors are under the $400 mark.
Only reason Xbox is ahead (if you want to call it that) at all at this point, is XBOX 360 came out 1 year earlier than PS3. Was Sony's biggest mistake to date.

PS4 can not have the same price as XB1. XB1 has that motion sensor dealy that is very expensive. PS4 does not.

if similar to ps3, their version of "kinnect" doesn't come with the system, so that's definitely money off the price
sony needs to be careful here, having it cost too much will be trouble

With the CELL not being used in PS4, I am sure it will cost 399$
450$ tops. PS4 is nothing special this time. No new format and no new architecture. Hope the pull this one off and they have the next gen sales in a bag.

Microsoft better get with it and offer a "kinnect" free system for $100 less, if they want to compete
(if they do that, I may actually consider it)
