But another horse this morning, a nice fat buckskin mare. The donkey I got to keep my sisters horse company is really aggressive when they eat hay so I'm taking him back to the rescue place.
The new addition was used for, lack of a better term, "cowboy shoots". Basically it's people who dress up in old 1800's attire and use that era's weapons for their skills competition. Revolver class, rifle, coach shotty.. all have been shot off this horse. And the horse has never flinched, CRAZY THING IS IT'S 4 YEARS OLD.
Not gonna lie, I bought it for the little one.

He decided it was time for her to get up and just flopped on covers, was trying to get her bed hair standing all over and he wanted in pic. He looks slim in the pic, but is still 90lbs.
You should teach your donkey to heehaw on command.

Call around for price on cutting nuts. Find one close where I can get there, drop him off, and to work for 8am.
Tell them he's aggressive and large. Lady says that's fine we handle big dogs. I tell her again he is protective and you're going to have to muzzle him. She says we can do that.
Pack his ass up this morning, bring to vet. Walk in and the woman tech is behind counter, Kane jumps up with tongue hanging out, tail wagging. 6ft heavy set man vet opens door and Kane becomes ..... himself. Teeth out, hair up, lips curled, ballistic. Vet says, from other side of door, we can't take him there's no way we can get him out of the cage.
You dumbass, thanks for wasting my time. Bring dog home. Nuts in tack, dog's laughing.

Why is he aggressive?
Ask the veterinarian to give you some Acepromazine tablets for him. Give them about an hour before you go to drop him off. Some dogs react poorly to ace and some aggressive dogs react poorly. If the veterinarian does not use ace as a pre-op another method would be to go in have them administer whatever pre-op they do use and wait with the dog until he is ready to be prepped for surgery.
What area are you looking to do this in I might know someone and could call or email them and give them a heads up.
EDIT: Also a huge advantage to getting him neutered is that it will cut way down on the chances of him developing prostate problems.

Looking to calm attitude and the health reasons. He's bi polar. He's perfectly fine when I'm around and will listen to commands. If I'm not there, he looks like a junkyard dog. People won't come in the house and he lunges and snaps. The gf can't control him when he gets like that.
Prairieville or Gonzales, LA vets. Trying not to spend another $250 if someone will do it for $175. A couple said they'd take him but they were marked up.
The pill would work for the time being but he had to stay over night and they'd have to deal with trying to feed him or let out a cage.

And do you mean marked up in price?
You might also check to see if there are programs for helping with spay/neuter of dogs and cats. I will look to see if I can help.

I asked him and there is a communication barrier. I work on my K9 german.
Marked up as in one place is $110 and the next is $250. Same procedure.

Same Parish, both 10 min away. GF used to work at Meterie Small Animal, he's going there in a few weeks. Her vet said he'd do it and the other vet shouldn't have a license if he can't handle a dog.

Sweet. Glad you worked it out. I had my ammo ready was going to call a vet clinic there or email one of the doctors through vetpost. I was not going to say anything as I did not know if any of these people are your friends but I agree with the vet at your new hospital to a lesser degree anyway. I think that the vet was either being lazy (seen it all older vet and not w3anting to tangle with it), saw you and the breed and (not going to lie to you, you probably struck him as a certain type based on the way you look, I say this having worked for a lot of different doctors. I don't see anything wrong with you but aggressive breed dog <--roll eyes, as I have one too and a yoked out owner...) or they are tired of veterinary medicine. Whatever it is they need to find a way to reevaluate their profession. And work on people skills. Could have also been a young doctor (as in new doctor).

Older guy, he probably doesn't have many years left if any. Yoked out, is that a southern jab!? lol, thanks for the interest in helping though.
As far as the personality, he's been like that. Even as a puppy he would stand in door and growl at people. Has been showing teeth since 4-5 months old. He will stand in door and bark at every car like its taking his bone. Any person he sees in yard ( I live on gravel road with 2-4 acres lots, my neighbors are 100 yards away) he growls at them in low tone like they're trying to get in the house. Hates men, especially any larger frame than me. Hates small dogs, will play with ones over 40 lbs immediately goes into beast mode over dogs under 20 lbs.
I think he has mental issues. This dog still pees on his own face daily. Literately. He does raise a leg, but sometimes he squats and looks between legs and pees on his own face. Has gotten MUCH better as aging. Between 10 month - 1 yr, he was more a hassle than a pet.
Something in this happenings was going on weekly when I got home from work:

I only worry about him when I'm not around. He's great when its just me and him. He listens to every command. Lays at my feet. Follows my every move around the house. If I go in gym, he comes in there and lays at the door ( I keep it open with a baby gate to look outside). Anytime I sit or lay down, he runs put his head up to be pet before he can lay down, then sleeps where I have to step over him. Baby faced killer.

Yoked means ripped thought you were pretty good sized from lifting and sitting around 10 - 12% bodyfat, so not a jab.
How do you discipline him?

I try not to act on instinct because I'm physically aggressive and just raising voice he will piss on floor and run to a corner. He's on 'time out' punishment as of late so he knows he's not going to get whipped. Soon as he does something he runs to kennel and stands there waiting for the cage to close.
Pent energy was the biggest problem for a while. He is locked up til I let him out at lunch, then again from 1-5pm. So he would go berserk in the cage all day and push it to something then tear apart what he could reach. Gave him more room by putting a baby gate in laundry room, so now he's got a 8x12 room to lay around and not feel caged.
He has major anxiety issues. Can't stand to be left alone. If I go in the bathroom and shut the door before he gets in, he'll piss on the floor outside the door.

My dog was similar when she was little. The whole not like being left alone. Try throwing a blanket over the cage when you leave. Seemed to help with her.

I will get back to you on this.
On a side note I do not like this new quote system.
Syndrome

The way he describes him I think that he would just pull the blanket through the cage and chew it up, which could lead to a blockage.

We're on about the 6th blanket lol. None with cotton in them anymore. I just get $5 fleece til he shreds it. See how there's no plastic guard in kennel? He tore it apart trying to dig out.
