Android is great.
Samsung Capitivate: Crap, slow, and old.
Samsung Galaxy S II: Lilac has it. Get it if its available.
Samsung Galaxy Infuse 4G: Get it. Great phone.
HTC Inspire 4G: I got it. Get it. Great phone. Awesome hardware. Love it.
Check it. AT&T has a Mobile to Any Mobile plan, which is free calls to any cell phone. So that should save you some minutes. 450 minutes is good, and if you text more than you talk, then its perfect for you.
Still, All together, You're looking at $30 for Data, $20 for texting and $60 for minutes. With a google phone, you can use Google voice, and pretty much use GV with anyone else who has it for free minutes.

whatt??? i pay 30 pound a month and i get 1200 minutes. unlimited text and unlimited data.. you guys get ripped off.
as for which phone to get. i just got the samsung galaxy s2 and it's the best phone i've ever had. another phone which is good is the htc sensation. they're pretty much the top two phones out right now.
it all depends what you're looking for though.
most recent htc androids are really good phones.

Scrub nailed it. Try to get them to throw in free activation and lower the price when you buy the phone.
It'll run you around 80-90 a month for unlimited texting and data. Id personally go with low minutes... and text more. And then u can start rolling minutes over. Att also gives you free night and weekend minutes.
