It randomly comes up about viewing others games. What are you usually checking out when you watch em?
Routes, what they're doing, awareness, critiquing flaws, noticeable weaknesses, is connection really an issue (live and theater are 2 different monsters), new class ideas?
Its a really helpful tool if used and applied. Kaz asked me on Launch today why I stay on the left side the map 90% of the game. Didn't really notice to be honest but my instant reasoning was because its one way traffic. I don't have to watch 3 directions when the spawns flip. The far right (by the overlook decks and silos) is a death zone, too much cover to be shot from.

I don't watch you guys' Theater Mode games, sorry, that sounds kind of ignorant. I should start though, it'd be nice to see how you guys play.

#758I rarely watch anyone games unless the theater host makes us. lol
But theater can be used to help people learn from there mistakes. Like the route they take to how they operate in a fight.
I'll find myself in spawns, but when i see 4-5 blue arrows on the other side of the map, I ain't leaving from there predictable spawn(behind me).
EDIT: But the one time, Alpha and I watched his game, we basically have the same game style, awareness, but not connection. lol

I know right? Thats why I'm 2000 assist ahead of you with 3000 less kills. lol

So you want to start being ignorant?
Doesn't have to be for learning purposes. Even if someone else needs help and wants you to point em in a direction.

I said it before and I'll say again!
I'm better than you. lolololol
Zcs wants to be ignorant, lets kick his ass.
Yea, I look at the theater to see what the hell my team were doing.

We should switch connection. You be the pack mule and I'll be the leach lol. Although we might have to keep a priest by for an online exorcism after your match.
Its strange though because you can go back in theater and the games play back like all are even. The guy really was standing there shooting when you saw him appear and OHK you with a SMG.

When you want the switch? On your connection, I'll probably say **** BO, Hello COD4. lol
Yea, but in Theater mode what looks like a 3 bullet kill was actually a 1 bullet kill in the live game. But since theater doesn't lag, it won't show.

I watch a lot of games from the regulars we play with.
I tend to stick to the side on launch that Alpha stays on, except when that's where we all are. Then I head to the non-rocket end of the map to make sure we're not going to get buttfcked.
I have and intuitive sense of where to go and what to do....and most of the time, it corresponds to where the high scorers go. But watching you guys really keeps my head in check about what I need to do and where I can improve. Little tips, tricks, habits etc, that the veteran players have rub off onto me if they seem effective.
In cod4, I learned via youtube....switch to secondary if out of ammo, lay down to reload, use cover, different sightlines, routes, etc....
I find there are areas for improvement.
1. Lag compensation. Play smarter and slower when connection sucks.
2. Anxiousness. I need to learn patience....not feeling compelled to chase chase chase. I need to allow some people to come to me, or even just get away if I don't have an ideal shot.
3. field of view. Players see a lot less peripherally than I think they do. This goes with the above statement. I get all trigger happy and take less than ideal shots.
4. Routes. I had solid routes on cod4 and mw2. I have strayed from that in bo, and it hasn't been beneficial. I know good routes, but don't stick to them. Again, anxiousness.
5. Aim. This is lag dependent most of the time....but I have sh1t accuracy. Tried all sensitivities, but connections are what dictate my ability to hit a target....so I spray a lot. And die a lot spraying.
I probably watch Alpha\s games the most. Seeing how someone can go 20-2, 24-4, 16-0 etc with such high frequency begs attention.
I can tell that his connection is really good....even though I know that theater doesn't tell the whole story. So many people being killed before returning any fire is far too reminiscient of how things look from my end. Many of his kills look like my killcams....but that doesn't take away from the broader lessons I pick up. Even with a good connection, stupidity will get you killed.
So, mostly, I watch people's games to bring up my game IQ....and hopefully everything will fall into place.

Ive only watched others games when others have wanted me too.
Ive watched my own gameplay back a few times, usually right after the game to see some sort of BS that happened.
I think I may go back and watch that game on Nuketown yesterday, where Kaz was saying he is getting dizzy from so much action and looking in so many spots. Because the second you said that, I realized how much I was spinning to kill people. It was a game of dom, and I was sitting on B. I became disoriented after you said that.... and had to run back behind the house to catch my where with all. lol.
