Gaming Headsets

So yeah, my first pair of headsets just died on me. The cord got faulty from normal wear and tear as pictured below (not actual headset):
This portion of the headset has been deemed ruined because every time I move, I lose sound on the left side of my headset. I was telling this to Chisa the other night.
And so because of this, I went out and bought a new pair from Target. I am kind of skeptical because now the headset controls dont have that glossy finish like my originals, it has a matte finish, but it feels sturdy. So I guess i am excited.

Something that happens to me is I find the cord is always twisted up, can't figure out how the frick it happens tho. Everytime I take them off I hang them in the same place and yet they still twist up, it worries me cause I know it can't be good for them.
Anyone have wireless one's, I'm wondering on the quality difference if any

PX-21's are garbage. I won't use a TB product again, unless they give me a free pair.
I got 21's for Christmas, and already, the mic arm won't stay in place, it simply falls all the way down. No amount of bending the flexi-arm will allow it to reach an audible distance from my face.
I have resorted to zip-tying it in place. Which is fine. I cheap pair of headphones with a cheap ratcheting system is bound to break....but 4 months is unreasonable--especially since I even have a designated hanger for them.
I throw controllers, not headsets.
Aside from that, I am also losing sound on the right side and the material that covers the earphone part is peeling back.
Seriously, like anything I own, they are babied and well taken care of. There is no reason, other than poor workmanship, for these things to be in this condition after 4 months.

I bought a 2 year Extended Warranty through Best Buy when I bought my PX21's. I had Trittons and they fell apart within 3 months. So I had to make sure I bought a Warranty for my next headset. $15.
Ive had mine for about 8 months I think. And they are still working like a charm. KNOCKS ON WOOD.

I've had mine for quite some time now and they still work fine. I have thrown it a few times before but nothing too hard. Hopefully they last a good while for me.

My Px21's have the same problem as Scrub. That part of the wire is a bit loose and it loses sound to both ears when not in the right place. Also, after only a week, the clip on the volume control thingy broke, so it just hangs there. Probably the main reason why the wiring is loose. I have to say, I can't play without them though. Maybe when it's time to get a new console I'll invest in some high-quality ones.
