I don't know if what I'm saying is making sense, but I'm trying to explain it lol.

Yeh, ya know i love you zcs but gotta go with Chisa and Alpha on this one. As someone who is about to start training as a counsellor, if this guy walked into my office and said the cause of his anxiety and stress was earning money to be a professional gamer.. i would just laugh in his face. Well, nah, i would be professional and then try to determine if he really was suffering from anxiety and what was the real cause of that.

There was stress at his McD's job also. Higher magnitude than that of gamer stress. A fk up there could cost millions instead of a couple hundred thou.
If you make money to play a video game, just STFU and enjoy it while it's there a couple years.

Anxiety from video games is about as real as anxiety from my dog watching me as I masturbate
I don't have a dog

#62110The anxiety isn't about playing the video game, I understand what Z is saying. The anxiety is about performing well and winning tournaments to remain a success and make money. However, this is what everybody goes through. Everybody has stress on them to perform well at their chosen profession.

Your dog watches too?
Weird ass animals. What's worse than the dogs eyes staring at your crotch is the the cat will jump up in the chair and try to help get what you're trying to grab in your pants.

Can understand the anxiety Ikon, but in the grand scheme of things, and in the real world, it is nothing. Most people would love to be in his position.. to be worrying about performing in a video game. If he doesn't perform, he loses his job.. well many skilled workers who trained for years and were in their profession for many years lose their jobs every day because a) the company needs to make cuts or b) the company goes out of business. what kind of industry is professional video gaming? If he doesn't perform.. he will have to look for a job in the real world. Maybe he will be jobless for a while.. again, welcome to the real world.

no but with the 300% growth mlg has seen in 3 years its not out of the realm of possibility that someday these pros today dont own and operate their own organizations and can have20+ years of business and marketing. Especially with how electronically driven the world is today.

I hope they all have arthritis by 30, so we can laugh at them being useless in the world and can't jerk off anymore.
