That's fair enough, I can only think of 2 gaming related podcasts that exist that are as popular as the big gaming channels, and there are plenty of big gaming channels.
It's certainly not falling through the cracks, evey major designer and publisher is aware of the youtube community. People have been uploading commentaries etc. for 5-6 years now.
None of the publishers will sue anyone, it wouldn't make any sense for them to do so from a business perspective. Many companies actively encourage youtubers to make content about their games for publicity.
If you see it as taking advantage of the programmers work, then we're going to have to agree to disagree on that.

I'm using double standards. I only want Syn or those around here to succeed in getting bitch rich making vids cause I know how hard they work on content and editing.
The rest need to get out and go get real jobs. No different than a high school drop out walking on a professional team and making millions never finishing school. It's a video game, shouldn't be profitable.

I would be more okay with it if other people (who put in all that effort to create something that allows others to generate a nice life for themselves) were at least partially compensated, like a royalty type system. Maybe have a fee for those looking to make money off it, and just a form you have to submit if you're not looking to profit. If they can make money off youtube views, then the game creators should get a bit of a cut too.

Im not fat stupid or 30 years old. LMAO.
AS for everything else in this thread. There was a Youtube content system push a few months back where everyone's "Let's Play" videos were getting strikes against them because of the game content featured. Then publishers of these games directly told youtube, that these video's can stay on youtube and cause no harm to their product. Publisher's, designers, the entire branch of people that make up the video game creator side of things are all well aware of what Youtuber's are doing.
Like said before, its free advertising for their product.
And I can tell you first hand, it is work to create videos for youtube. Sure its all desk work and nothing is physically demanding. But it takes time. The big game channels like "VanossGaming" release vids daily. I owuld too if I was getting 5mil views a video and another $400k off each one. lol.
It was also mentioned in this thread about the chance of being successful on youtube. It is a lot like real life, in that its who you know. 1 mention of 1 of my videos from a 1mil+ subscriber channel, and I would be set, lol.
