Goofing Off In FFA

I actually played a game of FFA last night with the intention of just going on and effing around. Because if you are going to act like a goofball or a cocksmurf FFA is the place to do it. I ended up second. First game of Ghosts online for me. The person ahead of me camped the entire time in the upper floor of a building with an IMS below them and some package looking things.
I learned four things last night:
I would have actually had a screenshot if in fact the screenshot button worked on PC.
And in spite of myself trying to hate the game and come up with things to dislike the entire time I played MP I actually had a little bit of fun. Sure there was a couple people camping and one idiot running around with just a pistol and knife but all in all it was not bad.
I learned four things last night:
- 1) Either I have not lost any of my aiming shooting abilities or hand eye coordination and timing or the competition is just that bad. I think it the latter as I have to also take into account that I have at this point no map awareness or the benefit of the better equipment and miscellaneous junk. Not to mention having been away from MP gaming for awhile. And playing against bots although they are better at aiming than most people still does not take into account the epic eff'ness of exploitative, asinine and crappiness that only the human factor can bring.
- 2) The MP COD PC community is so small now that hopefully the shaming of people who do not move their ass will prove beneficial. As you are bound to meet up with the same people more often than not, more and more people will refuse to play with certain individuals which I in fact saw last night as an entire group of people kept leaving in order to not play with some camping efftard which was identified in the previous match.
(Which actually could bring this whole no dedicated servers thing full circle. My thinking is that more and more people will say eff unlocking things as in private matches with people they know and like to play with everything is unlocked already. The more people play in crappy matches and keep running into the people they like and build a relationship the more they will forgo random playing and want to meet up with those individuals that play like they do, thus private matches. I think when all is said and done people who love this game will play it regardless of the extra stuff that comes with random MP.) - 3) The game went to time without someone making 30 kills... this tells me that the demise is already at hand. There is never any reason for a game to go to time. If it does then it was either a hard fought Domination match or a total campfest.
- 4) I make awesome Indian food.

I am sure that will change
and in fact until such time

This iteration of COD is probably the most balanced in terms of ways to kill. Killstreaks are not overpowering by any means. Guns all do damage (Higher bullet damage will do that!)
Attachments are all "okay". Few people use the target finder of this iteration... and thermal is overused on Snipers. But those are easily counterable with a simple perk.
Class system setup allows users to run setups geared to help.. but keep in mind nothing in this game is SUPER OP.
Connection issues, Spawn system, and Team balancing aside.. this is one of the better COD's to date.
