My 64 year old client drove his 2008 Mustang Shelby Cobra to the office today, and took me for a ride. When we left the office parking lot he told me to keep my eye on the fuel economy display. He stomped the gas, and I watched the MPG drop to 3 miles to the gallon as the super charger kicked in LOL. If you're in the market for a new car, I'd highly recommend one of these LOL. Here's some pictures that I took of me with his baby.

3 miles to the gallon? Yea that would be great right now. Blow $40 in 3 minutes. lol.

He told me that if he does 55 in 6th gear, he can get around 25 MPG. He also told me that he bought the car to drive it like it was supposed to be driven, not for the gas mileage LOL. Very cool guy, and I could tell he loved the big smile on my face after racing around town.

Powerful overpriced car. Mustangs always nailed the sound of their exhaust, like it was sound tuned on a computer.

Oh yeah, it sounded like a beast! Not sure how much he paid for it, but I'm sure it probably wasn't cheap LOL.

90 degree turn? Is that to turn and run home when American muscle blows your hatch off in a straight away? lol
I kid, watched some Auto-X racing and it was impressive how fast they get up and take a corner. Vettes were getting embarrassed by Mercedes CLK, Subies, and VWs.

Earlier I was PISSED, and I was doing 40 (on my speedometer which is 5mph off at 20mph, and 10mph at 45) and I spun my wheel to the right and I rode the side wall on my side tire, downshifted first and started bangin my rev limiter and it was like WWEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR chirp chirp chirp WWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol it was awesome.

LOL, the 64 year old guy with the Shelby Cobra told me I needed to start selling more houses and buy a car like his. I didn't have the heart to tell him that if I had $80,000 to spend I'd probably buy a Porsche LMAO.

I'm a bit of a Porsche guy myself.
The last car I'd buy for 80k would be a 'Stang.
Considering this fits in with the likes of a BMW M3, a Porsche Cayman, a used 911, Ferrari F355, Corvette Z06, and a gajillion other vehicles, I'd be going to those first as well.
I get that the Mustang is sort of an icon in American motorsports, but it's still "just" a Mustang.

If I had 80K, I would definitely buy a GT 500. I've always wanted one.

I've never really been a big fan of Mustangs TBH, but I've got to admit that I loved that car. Honestly though, even if I had that kind of cash in the bank I'm not sure that I could talk myself into spending $80K on any car LOL.

Yea true that. You could have the same amount a fun with a regular GT with some bolt ons though. Well, I could atleast. Those are about 30K and GT 500's start at about 50K.
