Okay.
Some of you know... I have been HAMMERING away at making this "House". More of just a couple rooms for the kids (my neices) to play with their toys in.
I would of went fancier and maybe added some steps from one floor to the next... but I HAD to have this done by TODAY. lol.
Here is the catch - Had to assemble this with limited left over warped laminate flooring. ZING! Thats a curveball past your face. SOOOOOO - Using the shit I had around my house - I assembled something that stayed together. lmao.
The process:
Okay.. I started taking pictures late. And then stopped. I got lazy?
Started framing it.

Now take a second and think about THIS. These floor boards - would NOT interlock with eachother.. they were slightly warped. So I had to saw off the edges of each board.. and then place them side by side.

(Added a divider on 1 side).
This is kind of where I stopped taking pictures, until it was mostly done.
More explaining what this next picture is, after the picture.

Sorry for the blurriness.
So - I added poster board to the back.. as backing. Ive painted the top left room all black, and it has zebra print carpet (via fabric from the store). I printed out a "Monster High" Logo on gloss paper cut it out and glued it on to the back wall. This is her "Monster High" room.
The top right room is White / Different design and color wallpaper. Im actually just about done building a bed for this room as well. The thing in the corner of this room is a little nightstand / table. This room is for the kids "American Girl" dolls that Santa is bringing them.
The bottom 2 rooms are identical except the floors are different color. One is a light purple and one is black. Its a fabric type material that you use on shelves (Shelf liner) to add grip. Glued it down.
Added a push in touch light to the top 2 rooms (one in each room) the kind that attaches with a self adhesive (dollar store push light thingy).
This picture shows everything a bit more clear:

You also cant see, but the outside of the walls of this thing - I glued down texture paintable surface. Its rough kind of. And I painted gray bricks onto them.
PHEW. Girls seemed to like it quite a bit when I brought it over.

RIGHT????
I realized why I waited so long to start this (Put in about 3 hours on Saturday and 500 hours Sunday and Monday). Its because my sisters plans were to get a Book Case, or like a Organizer thing. One of them things that you just put in a few screws and its together? Use one of them, and just decorate it. But we couldnt find one. So I had to do this last minute.

I put it all together in the basement (Its snowing outside!)
Im glad it held together going up the stairs and onto the vehicle. Then survived the ride over and carried into her (my sister & Godz) house. If it stays together and doesnt fall apart doing that - should be kid proof. lmao.
