Shades and I were talking earlier, about the days when you could play solo, all night, and never leave the top 3.
I was never an Alpha, Syn, shades or z....but, after leaving COD4, and into MW2, I could play TDM all night and stay in the top 3, often MVP'ing the games. I was pretty good that that game. Even COD4, after a month playing, I was consistently topping lobbies.
I was pretty new to the game at that point, but, I was able to out think and out play most of the people playing the game at that time. I could play confidently, I was a bit cocky when I'd go into a game, and I knew I could wreck sht up at will.
Looking at the scoreboards now days....I'm competing for bottom 3, in virtually every game, with or without L3 in the game. I can barely string together a 3 streak and I'm lucky when I break 10 kills.
I think it's ****ing pathetic that the game cripples someone to the point that 30 kills are literally unattainable. 25 kills highly unlikely, 20 kills improbable, 15 kills unlikely and 10 kills constitute a good game.
Shades and I played 3 or 4 games, and in the one I rage quit just now, I never had a chance to kill any of the 9 people I encountered. I was 0-9 in cranked on Syn's Weiner map....the easiest map for me to do well on.
I do believe that my character is 6' or so ahead of where I think I am because none of the deaths made sense.
So, it was just kind of funny watching Shadow and I, who have the potential (and a proven one from past games) to go wrecksauce, wallow in the bottom 3 or 4 places game after game.
I just wish that those with these connections knew that what they are accomplishing is due to a serious time advantage and nothing else. When I have 20-40 seconds of this advantage every 50 games or so, killing is fcking easy....I'd love to have it game in and game out like some people do.
But no, it's impossible in the 21st century, with Fiber internet and RC cars on Mars...to make it so someone in Canada can have the same experience as someone in the US. Fcking game

What are you trying to say? I have no skill and simply am doing well because I have a good connection?Kaz--Money wrote:

lol. I know what you are saying.
To RUSH and do well, you have to have that good connection. If I camped and had my connection id easily have games of 30+ kills and 5- deaths every single time. My rushing points me at a disadvantage.
Maybe to balance things out, Kaz you should camp.

#53107I feel you bro.
We are good playas but the game has us as bad playas. My niguh! It not fair.
On the same connection I have now, I played COD4 before Kaz got on and on a 2 bar I went 39-3. But in ghost I go 3-22? The fuq?
You telling me a 6 year old game has a better connection code than a new one? :/

This is not crappy 2007 where everything was 100% consistent and you knew exactly what you were in for. We've evolved and turned pretty decent into milky poo.

Majority of people playin COD4 dont camp. That holds true to this day. They are worse off for it. Makes it easier for a rusher to do well. Not too mention all the snipers still in the game.Alpha wrote:This is not crappy 2007 where everything was 100% consistent and you knew exactly what you were in for. Not talking right now, talking about when people were playing COD4 because WaW sucked scrot.Syndrome wrote:No im telling you a 6 yr old game, has worse players.Shadow wrote:

This applies to MW2 as well. I was doing well in it, solo, when it was in it's prime.
Connections were fukkity when I partied up with you negros, but, still workable.
But, I've seen you on what is close to my connection. I've seen Natas on it. Canadian Bacon Flavored Wreck flavored sauce doesn`t exist.
Even camping, you have to feel what it's like to check a spot, sight it up, and move on, only to be killed by someone watching you do all that, but they weren't there the whole time. This isn't lag, it's a time zone difference. I've said this before....you camp, glitch a barrel or box, and someone can come up across the map where you're looking, see you, recognize that you're there, sight you up, get sht all aimed and tidy, and pick you off....all the while, you have no clue this is going on. So you die.

Thunder was putting up COD4 games the last week of BO2. 40-49 kill games, just train wrecking other teams because he was better.
and chained streaks lol

Yeah, I've had a few of those too though...COD4 has a few people holding on to the dream, but, it's a lot of 9 year olds who got some old asss hand me downs. I had a 3+ kd and a 5 win loss on my second account....all solo. Came down a bit after hittin hacked lobbies, but still. The competition these days is pretty diluted.Alpha wrote:Thunder was putting up COD4 games the last week of BO2. 40-49 kill games, just train wrecking other teams because he was better.

If you can get a room. We sit there for 20 min to get a room, then it closes. Or host ends as soon as he dies twice.

Back in 2007 the average teen hadn't been groomed to stay inside and play video games all day. Nowadays it's all a generation does. Their skills have gotten better and along with it they've become smarter
Video games were always a treat and something you did if the weather was bad. Now kids think gaming with their online peeps is actually hang out with their friends.

lol. Skills have gotten better? No. Game has catered to the new style. Completely contradicting to what I said earlier.hiph0pan0tamus wrote:Back in 2007 the average teen hadn't been groomed to stay inside and play video games all day. Players are worse no doubt. Even the ones we pick up with comparable stats because we liked how they played... we sink em to bottom of charts game after game and they all say they can't get any kills. They're good for the game made for today's kids, but they don't have the depth some of the OGs bring lol.

#53142I just had like 4 straight games tonight of going 30+ kills and under 5 deaths. On top of what you guys said though.. the spawning logic is just beyond stupid now.. or maybe not. Back in COD4 when I'm all out rushing I would know EXACTLY where enemies are going to be spawning based on the situation on the map. Now I try to do the same thing and get a "revenge kill" spawner... beyond annoying.

Thats done on purpose with 49 other dumb down factors.
A true 0.14 players wouldn't play the game over a month, wouldn't buy DLC, wouldn't tell his friends to buy, wouldn't buy again the next release.
Trick that 0.14 garbage ass moron into thinking he will one day get better = $100 minimum income from moron + royalties of morons friends.

We had a .9 kd player run a 9 kd in one game, then a solid 2, then another 2....he found the darkest corner of the map and hid there with his MSBS.
NO skill, no aim, no strategy.

2008 would have 9 grenades bounced off a doorframe in his lap over and over, said player ends negative.
Also would have any Deep Impact AR shot right through most hidey holes without ever entering the room. Because the maps were brilliant.

The good days of topping the lobby with your skill.
Days long gone.....*A single tear runs down my face as I watch a kid play COD:Ghosts*
If it were not for the hackers, I would have bought MW2 for the third time.
