Okay, so I have finished my launch weekend grind of Call of Duty Ghosts, and I am confident in my conclusion about the game.
This is by far, the most balanced Call of Duty game ever. With the exception on the MSBS and dogs(patched), this game is so unbelievably balanced, I couldn't believe it. The maps, have perfect balance of short, medium, and long range areas, each suiting weapons designed for it. CoD players are so used to being able to dominate with a sub no matter where they are on the map. Rather, if you have a sub, stick to the close range areas, if you have an AR, stick to the medium range areas, if you have a sniper, stick to the long range areas. As I was saying earlier, the weapons are balanced, I have used several dozen weapons and the only complaints I have are that the MSBS is OP and the Honey Badger is UP. You guys know, I bitch A LOT about CoD, but I rarely find myself complaining of anything that happened because of how fair this game is. I am convinced that the reason this game is receiving horrible fan reviews is because CoD players have such a little sense of balance that they freak out when it is presented before them. Infinity Ward should just have a few tweaks to make to make this game perfect. As far as I'm concerned, great job, IW!
Aside from the MP, the menu selection and display are gorgeous, fluid, and ergonomic. Extinction is fantastic, a rip of L4D, but a great third mode that we have been seeking from Infinity Ward FOREVER!
P.S. I feel like pubs can be expanded to 7v7 or 8v8, but it's not game breaking. Also, spawns are kind of garbage, but they will patch it just as they did MW3. Lastly, I haven't played competitive but so far I have heard the same from pros, that this game is really balanced.

I have to agree, the game is well balanced. This game is what MW3 should have been. The maps are too big and the spawns are terrible, but I really like this game (and there's 3 maps I will just refuse to play)

We'll have to live with the maps, but if they fix the spawns.. game could be very good.

Chasm is the only map I won't play. There's other maps I won't play depending on the gametype but for the most part I'm starting to really like all the maps. IMO, its the best collection of maps since the cod4/mw2 era.

That futuristic factory map is campers paradise, flooded is f**king stupid, and Siege is far too big

I hate Flooded so much I don't even give it credit for being a map. I joined into the same KC on that map 4 times last night and backed out every time lmfao. Ended up firing the hbogo ap and catching up on Boardwalk Empire. What an amazing show btw.

Awesome show
Most of the maps are fun though, the smaller ones are some of the best ever

IW logic: Let's take out tac inserts but let's make the average size map the Size of Derail.

I was playing Blitzed and we spawn trapped, or attempted two twice. Even with us trapping it was nearly impossible to do because there were so many spawn points.
They did a fairly decent job of that, although I still feel static spawns are dumb.

All guns kill quickly, it's a matter of preferenceShadow wrote:I still don't see how this game is balanced. :/
Like Kaz, I will stay tuned for review V2
Kill streaks aren't overwhelming at all, meaning, you can't expect them to do all the work
With the exception of amplify, the perks are well balanced with the create a class system
Kill streak kills don't advance your points towards another streak
You can get a KEM in a care package, which I think is bullshit
