At first I did not know if I liked that saying. As it seems to potheadish. Then I figured that no pothead goes to the gym.
Is ok.
Is ok.

I think you need to stop stereotyping people who smoke weed
not everyone who does it is some brain dead hippie who sits on the couch
some of us like to do intellectual things while high, like writing, as it can spur new ideas and ways of thinking
I know people who do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu while high, says it makes them more likely to try different approaches. I haven't done that though

and after dealing with friends and family staying at my place the better part of two weeks, I hit the gym last night sans ankle brace
coach asked me "what are you interested in learning tonight", I said "I just spent time with family, give me something mean to work on"
hooked us up with 3 very mean chokes, two of them have very quick "lights out" ability if not careful
so glad to be back and alone again

Yes I understand the minority 6:20 movement, because some of them have jobs.

Unrelated.... Often, when I've a problem at work i'll smoke a spliff, lock my self away with the laptop and 9 times out of 10 its solved
As yet I've not progressed to heroin or murder

Why are all women's workouts made different than men workouts. Exaggerated movements waste time and energy and produce improper form image which in turn can cause injury. An effing bent over one arm row is the same goddamn movement whether done by a woman or a man. Quite making it into some exaggerated goddamn ballet movement c*nts.

It's because a woman rather do a 6lb weight 75 times, instead of breaking a sweat using a 25lb weight 10 times.
And save a shitload of time. And get the F off our benches quicker.
News flash cunts, bigger weights will NOT turn you into Arnold. You don't have the testosterone to get gigantic like you all say you're avoiding.

Woo!
Weighing in at 145 pounds.
Finally benched 1 plate for 7 reps. My chest is finally starting to develop after learning to keep my back tight and shoulder blades pinched during benching.
Squatted 205 for 5 a couple days ago. Gonna work on this and get it way up.
Deadlifted 235x5 a couple days ago. We'll see what I do tomorrow. I've only incorporated deadlifts into my routine about 3 or 4 weeks ago. They're shooting up fast.

This actually might sound gross to you guys but I used to take Quaker 100% natural old fashioned oats, protein powder and instant coffee and mix it up when in a hurry. Then I liked it so much it became one of my staples. I rediscovered it today. Thought I would share.
I would mix it in an empty powerade bottle. I got tired of doing a thorough washing on my protein bottles which all of us have opened and smelled and been like "wow that is nasty", so what I find works best is to buy the 20oz powerade bottles dump out the powerade (or drink it if you are into HFCS) and then after you mix and drink your protein shake rinse it out and throw it in your bag. I can keep a bottle going for about 2 weeks before it gets to stinky.
And on a side note. I got a text today saying "he is going to do it". So I took off to the gym I knew this monumental event was going to happen at and got to witness my friend bench 500lbs free no bench shirt. He repped it twice. Everyone around him said he could have gone again but he placed the bar back on the rack.
It was a little exciting and I was really happy for him. He is going to do it again in a month and try for 525 I think he said or it might have been heavier. Anyway he says this time he wants someone to take a video and pictures and then he is never going to lift that heavy again.

Holy sternum stress. I imagine his a guy under 5'10 and probably about 230? Arms can't touch his own hips. Those power benchers have the same build. Impressive.

I can't fathom benching that much weight, good for him. That's a lot of work
I'm keeping my coffee and protein powder separate this morning. Have my shaker bottle full of protein with MCT oil and a mug of coffee. No carbs for me though, I like hitting my morning workout without them (evening class I treat differently)
Heading in for my 6th class this week, body is tired, but starting to adapt to the workload. Tomorrow will be awesome, since I'm not doing shit.

Ordered a bunch of $2 shaker bottles and run them things through dishwasher daily swap out. Already wiped out that 4lb jar of protein. Doing 3 shakes a day strict is going through powder.
Imagine the upper body strength of someone who can move 500 lbs. Shawn Jordan, played for LSU and current UFC heavyweight, benched 610 in college. And he punches people in the face.

He is just under 6'1". He is a huge person. He is a little chubby but he carries it in his stomach and waist. Trying to caliper his legs or arms for BF% is a total nogo. You cannot grip any fat or skin really.
And I use instant coffee in my shakes. Gives a bitter taste to the sweetness of the protein. I think it tastes good.

Did you start training for your tourney yet? And how does that differ when you do? Do you cut back on weightlifting and focus more on MA or what changes?

Yeah he is a tank. I would hate to make him mad but he is a really nice guy. Like one of those guys that knows he can be intimidating so he compensates with being nice and jovial. I actually cannot recall in the 10 years I have known him, ever seeing him mad or lose his temper.
EDIT: Actually I recall him and his wife telling me a story. He was following his wife home and this guy passed him and got between his car and his wife's car. The guy tried to pass his wife and in doing so ran her off the road. She was fine and nothing happened. As they drove home the guy was pulling out of a gas station mini mart and my friend stopped right in front of him. He told the guy to get out but he would not so my friend started pounding on the hood of his car. His wife said it looked like the guy had a tree fall on his car when my friend was done.

I've heard a story similar with a big marine built 6'4 guy following his wife home. Another vehicle was riding her ass and flipping her off. They got to red light and the husband got out and pulled the driver through his window.
It would be fun to be intimidating big lol. 5'not and the 3rd graders don't listen to me when I go to school.
