Way to shove DRM down our throats? Didn't they learn from Apple, who was able to strong arm music labels into REMOVING DRM from music? WHO WANTS THIS GARABAGE?!?!?!?!
Sony said games for PS4 will range from $.99 to $60. I bet Microsoft will be like "GAMEZ WILL BE 99 US DOLLARS LOLZ" and so all the publishers will be like "MORE MONEYZ" and no games will be made for PS4 and the industry will crash. I wouldn't put it past MS.

with Destiny coming to ps4, there's really no reason for me to buy a 720 just for Halo, especially with stuff like this coming out
ps4 >720
ps4 >720

Sony has always had way better and more exclusives except Halo. Destiny removes that. Bungie is awesome lol. Can't wait for Infamous, Killzone, and even Drive Club looked like car porn.

I'll get Watch Dogs on PS4 because that's the new console (and I'm really, really hoping our group starts to get back together on some different games), but I think that it looked a lot less impressive after seeing Killzone and Infamous's graphics. Still gonna be a SWEET campaign, but it wasn't as graphically stunning as when we saw it compared to PS3 games.
And then Nintendo all like "Who uses internet?"
lol Wii U

the implication that you have to be online for the system to work, is a little troublesome for anyone with a data limit or internet that occasionally goes out

I have Uverse which has a 250GB limit and is falling behind fast. Stupid AT&T still runs the last mile of the service over the old copper telephone lines from the 19th century (yes that isn't a typo). That limits speeds to a max of 24 Mb/s (until they start bonding lines, then we can see 100 Mb/s). Still, it's the most fiber optic-y thing there is around us. Time Warner Cable runs theirs over COAX which with DOCSIS 3.0 can see 100 Mb/s (and DOCSIS 3.1 will jack that up to potentially 500 Mb/s). But even then, there are reliabilities. Then how about the areas of America (remember we have almost 4 million square miles of land, 3rd largest country) that aren't served by high speed internet? Verizon might stick a tower near you with LTE, but you're capped at 5GB a month or something absurd like that.
When we had Time Warner, the internet would go out almost every day at 3PM. That sucked.
Systems work now without the inconvenience of having to always be on the internet, why can't it stay that way?
Chisa, good news is that T-Mobile might have started the transition into contract-free wireless like Europe with their new "uncarrier plans" here in the US. Verizon's CFO hates subsidies on phones, and Tmobile started the transition. Now we might see cheap plans where you pay full-price for your phone and then simply pop your SIM in. Then you can change phones any time you like.

Yeah, you only seem to have a handful of isps, which is surprising. You'd think companies would be fighting to get into the American market. Although, I bet the department issuing licences are treated very nicely by the current providers!

The American market can provide a lot of profit for a TON of investment. We have so much land spread out, that it costs billions to keep up a network, let alone upgrade your network when new technologies roll around. Deutsch Telecom wants out of the US market, that's why they are getting approval to let MetroPCS merge with T-Mobile USA.
Then we have the illegal price fixing between land-based ISPs, but pad the pockets of regulators enough and you can do anything you want.

And I'm assuming that would eat your "Live" time too even while playing "offline"?

put your hands together like you are holding a ps3 controller... you feel restriction and discomfort. Now offset your hands... feels so much better.

I can't refute that argument if your left arm is 6 inches longer than your right.
