BO2: Give Me Back My Configs Trey...

One thing that has always helped with this series is the ability to make subtle yet noticeable and extremely useful tweaks in the config files.
These config tweaks were (up until this game) legal and even provided by GPU manufacturers.
However BO2 suffers no such end user abilities. Sure someone may have cracked the encoding on the config files or even found a work around for it but it is not worth getting banned just to make a few slight visual changes to the game.
Thing that really bothers me about this.
Say you turn off corpses. So anyone you see lying down is then pointed out to you and you know that they are not dead.
The pop ups that happen when you kill someone the +100 or the skull that pops up when a team mate dies have gotten me killed far more often than my own lack of skill.
Thing is, all these things are available to everyone who wants to use them. If you are on PC and if the config files were available for editing everyone would have the same opportunity to change certain settings.
Anyone else play this on PC who misses the ability to fine tweak settings?

The dead body can be of use capping flags.
How many options you talking? 10 or 30. Because that could be 2 different games being played.

Your tweaks sound like hacks. lol.
Console players get no such tweaks, nor have we ever.
What other tweaks could you make in the past?

Some people would research these things and tweak their configs, some would not even bother with them and keep the default configs, and I'm sure Activision figured that people who know how to optimize their configuration have an unfair advantage over those that don't. Remember, Equality of Outcome > Equality of Opportunity

Yeah 10 - 30 depending I guess.

Well that is one of the drawbacks to playing games on consoles. The user level is very limited and you do not get to take advantage of community created content like mods for Skyrim and Oblivion. On the other hand you do have access to a platform that allows for ease of use.
The tweaks were not and were never considered hacks as a matter of fact there are/were tons of threads about tweak guides hosted on Activision/IW/Steam/nVidia/AMD forums and websites that knew about and even added to the guides.
The biggest thing I miss is the ability to change the size, duration and opacity of on screen messages.

They started putting points on screen in HC. Surprised that hasn't been a complaint.
