Not Feeling the Rage

Lag is bad. Players are bad. Hit detection is bad....
But, unlike MW3, I dont' get half as enraged. I get pissed, I get a bit mad....but I don't get to the point that I need to slaughter a small village just to get my heartrate back to a normal level.
Playing HQ has really made the game tolerable.
TDM....is dead. If my enjoyment depends on killing and not dying, I'm not going to bother playing. If it involves killing some, dying some, but doing what it takes to win, then I'm happy.
Anyone else find this game keeps the needle on the rage-o-meter much lower than MW3?
I sure do.

I don't rage as much because I'm very close to just not playing. For me to rage, would require me to care.
I simply will not play TDM anymore, it's a dead game mode filled with non moving cowards who think it's fun to point out over the nearest head glitch spot.
The connections are so frequently bad that, when I play, I can usually stand about an hour of it before I just say "f**k this" and go find something that's actually fun to do.
It's just not worth getting mad anymore
Treyarch just can't make a game that runs decently online.

BO was crap. The frame rate of napalm was doing it entire games last night. Missed a spawn flag cap because I couldn't move. Screen froze then Conn Inter twice, yall were half to B before I took a step forward.
I just don't G A F in this game. When it starts going downhill, I switch to a useless class to help escalate the mutiny. Look at TDM leaderboards, 100-250 average SPM. We pull that sitting in corners with shields. Bringing the original HQ back really kept this thing from getting traded in.
Its fast paced, it decently rewards playing the base, it shows what number whores aren't willing to die for a win, and teamwork is huge. I'd say 1 guy can't win it but that would be a lie. Me Syn and a couple others were donkey stomped by a guy playing in tomorrows connection. 7 caps and 35 defends against us.

Didn't know PS3 was so filled with campers.
Because I swear Team Deathmatch has more SMG wielding hurricanes, I think I wish they would nerf them a little. At least the PDW. In Battlefield 3 that weapon only has a 20 rounds default, and 30 rounds with Extended Mags. On Black Ops 2 it has 50 rounds from the start. I mean damn, why stop there? Why not make the SMGs belt-fed while you are it.
Why SMGs have so much ammo in these newer Call of Duties doesn't make sense.
These are weapons of skirmishes, not suppression.
They were fine on Call of Duty 4. They were fine in Modern Warfare 2.
On Black Ops they were hampered by terrible lag and overpowered weapons,
but with the new Create A Class and better hit detection of Black Ops 2 those weapons could have easily worked.

I think there are definitely more options at least to keep the meter down.
I can't rely on a gamemode to ease frustration, though. Most of my games are solo, and while I have a grasp on objectives, I am no one man wrecking ball (whiffle ball, maybe). So objective modes like HQ usually leave me hating my team who don't give a shit that I'm throwing myself at an objective over and over again all by myself. Which sucks, because those modes are way more fun to play.
If I'm getting frustrated, I'll go watch a game in theater, or try and make a new emblem. So, for me, BO2 has that going for it over MW3.

BO was unplayable for all 21.5 of the 22 days I played it. At least I liked the maps, and, I learned how to play HQ. The AK was a savior.
MW3 was intolerable....top to bottom, start to finish. There is nothing I can point to that makes me think that was even remotely worthy of being in a conversation about COD. Went 3 months straight without playing it when I should have been wanting to play it straight for 3 months.
BO2...I still enjoy it as long as we stay away from certain maps. TDM is dead...but maybe chisa is right. I put in an hour, maybe one and a half, and I'm done. I'll have long stretches off, and have no problems shutting down when it's shtty.
It's better than BO in a lot of ways, better than MW3 in every way, and it doesn't bring out the worst in me.....yet. Still December.

Bo2 offers a lot more. I find myself doing things in blops2 that I never would of in mw3. Like the vanish thing. I like trying other modes as well.
Yesterday Natas and I played HC SnD. I think the last game we played (or close to the last), I got called a camper by 1 guy on the other team. The GWKC showed me laying prone.. then getting up running around a corner and killing the guy. I told him I didnt camp, thten proceeded to ask what he expected playing HC SnD? Did he expect people to rush? He then pulled out the "Im higher than you I cant hear you all the way down there" (on the scorecard). I then pointed out my SPM was double his and he was WAY beneath me on the lobby leaderboards.
Seriously the lobby SPM was 50. Natas and I both had 100+, no one else was out of double digits.
Anyways back to this thread.
The lobby mute is pretty damn nice.
I really like Blops2 theater better than MW3 theater.. when it works right.
I too spend some time in emblem editor.
I guess I just dont care as much in this game.

Got in a lobby where we were winning by at least 100 pts. In no less than a second, the game connections went to shit, and FOR DAMN SURE MUTHER FUCKERS WERE LAG SWITCHING.
Yes. Game froze about 3 times, all instant deaths, and when they were up by enough to end the game, they stopped ****ing with connections.
Called them out on it, and they left at the beginning of the match.
****ing pussy ass players.

I certainly felt the rage to begin with. The initial matchmaking was effing me over so bad whenever I played solo. I kept getting teamed up with complete derps. I was topping lobbies yet my W/L ratio was less that 0.4 at one stage and the wins were probably down to the times I played with my brother.
Matchmaking seems to be delivering me one or two reasonable team mates now. For whatever reason I've started playing demolition in this game and it has kept my enthusiasm so far.
