I've never seen anyone look so overwhelmed in the octagon than Forrest in that fight.....LOL
poor guy, at least he admits it
Alright people, real talk now......Does Weidman have a chance this weekend?
I would LOVE to see Silva get knocked out, but I just don't see it happening
pretty funny interview
Chael: "what's worse, my fighting, or Steven Segal's acting

Until Roger Gracie showed up, this card was one of the best ever
Guy is 6'4", has zero striking ability and was gassed by round 2
He should be throwing elbows and kicks from a half mile away

Frankie Edgar can't hurt anyone, his punches do almost nothing

F**k off Silva, that's what you get for showboating
Acted like an asshole, deserves to lose the belt

I understand exactly why he did it. Can't hate the guy for a great run.
He's been the champ for 7 yrs, he's been a spotlight icon for the last few. He walks around with a giant target being labeled the best P4P in history. The man wanted to give the belt up. He may come back to fight whoever he wants now with 0 pressure. He's not the champ and he's not the undefeated best ever. Weidman had all the hype behind him to take it, so Silva issued it on a silver platter.
He started show boating right after he realized he was outmatched. 1st round, got taken down and punched repeatedly. As soon as he stood up, his nervous adrenaline made him start taunting. He never quit and probably would have did it 3 more rounds. When he did it I did scream at the TV not to start that shit now. I saw Weidman's reaction and told bro-in-law, he's throwing this fight-he's handing the belt over. Then his rehearsed post interview made that apparent.
And that Roger Gracie fight... fk the Gracies. When the 1st damn bell rang and he ran to grab ahold and lay on back ... a reaction holler came out "I fking hate Ju Jitsu fighters! " Then Rogan named the other boring ones starting with Maia and someword.

I don't get how someone steps into the octagon with zero desire or ability to strike, Jiu Jitsu cannot be the only thing you have

because he cant. Silva does it to lure his oppnonent in and he got caught, eventually. Why didnt Weidman just take him down in the second round like he did the first?
Its entertaining when he does it, dont care if its disrespectful or not tbh and i dont mean to sound like a dick with that but if im up until 6am watching it then id rather watch Silva do his taunting act than a 5 round pointfest.

If he took this fight serious, he wouldn't have started the showboating right after getting ground n pound with little effort. He got rocked a few times on his back. I would put money on it, he knew he wasn't leaving with the belt tonight. Weidman looked impressive enough to be the one to beat his ass, Silva wasn't taking another 24 minute beating like Sonnen issued.
He stood up and went with entertaining the crowd until he got caught. When he actually started striking back in the 1st round, he was faster and more precise than Chris. Silva could have won this fight, he didn't want to.
I don't blame him for wanting to step down. 100% less pressure to do what he wants. If he comes back at whatever weight he wants and fights without a belt, he will be entertaining as hell. Maybe he just wants the superfight so he can retire.

Any fight with GSP shouldn't be called a Superfight, GSP is too boring
Now silva v. jones, THAT fight would be interesting

He was stepping down before the cage door shut. Weidman taking him down and punching his head repeatedly in 2 minutes... just showed Silva's hole that he can't fix. Silva dropped hands and took a 6 minute dive until he got KO'd. He could have won that fight, he wanted out of the spotlight.
Do you want a rematch?
"No, Chris is the best. He won. Thank you America and UFC."
Are you retiring?
"No, I have 10 fights left"
Are you going up to 205?
"Thank you America, I live here now"
That was scripted answers from a bored champion who knew his opponent was worthy of taking the belt.

Going over fight card for the 27th. Not bad at all
Main event is don't care. 135 or 125 fighting for title, boring as hell after 5 minutes. They always go the distance because 135lb man has no KO power.
McDonald and Juggernaut ... gonna be entertaining. Possibly a body slam from either side. They match up well.
Lawler's fighting. He's a go for broke fighter. Many KOs.
2 different girl fights. 1 set they both look like nasty street whores
Danzig vs Guillard. Guillard will win by KO in 1st round or Danzig by submission late 1st, early 2nd.
Eves vs Crukshank ... this will be exciting. A veteran striker vs a skilled newcomer. Expect a kick KO for the finish/ either one.
