"less than a week after his team finished second in the North American Championship Series, Cloud9's shotcaller has announced he's getting out of the game. Like football players are forced to retire when their knees give out, a persistent wrist injury means Lam can no longer mix it with other A-list players on the big stage"
what a f**king pussy, seriously

lol. It makes sense. Even though it sounds stupid, a wrist injury (if its that bad) pretty much nullifies your skill against other pro players especially at that level in LoL, "his wrist injury made it hard to keep up with his teammates and deliver on a tournament level."
HATERS! In other news, did you see a few days ago on a "Heroes of the Storm" was on ESPN2?

Like I said, I know it sounds dumb, but with the injury he has there is no way he could compete against professional players.

I'm not bragging when I say this, or trying to build him up, but my dad is 54 years old and is easily the best service provider in his building. He works circles around guys half his age, and is doing it with an injury that needs surgery yet he refuses to do it because he wants to work. The world is full of pussies who refuse to adapt to their surroundings or situations and just give up.

Professional gamer lol no way you say that with a straight face
Or you might, but anyone of working age who wasn't raised by a screen couldn't.

maybe if he didn't keep himself locked in a room all day and, maybe, read a book on preventative maintenance, or did some other kinds of exercise, he could have prevented the wrist injury
then again, he looks to have the bone/wrist structure of a 12 year old girl

Professional gamers contracted to a team, average 30k+ a year. Their terms of contract in the US and EU are much more relaxing then South Korea, but they still required 6-8 hours of Practice time as we well as a specific time of streaming during practice. They also have to make and produce a specific amount of youtube content, as well as do things through the teams sponsorship deals. EG Incontrol is a body builder and a professional gamer, he encourages a lot of his teammates to work out, and they do. quite of few of them had to take breaks from their gaming because they still got RSI in their wrist. This is their jobs and living. Working out is only a precautionary tool, it doesn't prevent RSI from occurring.
In South Korea they practice 12 hours a day, their teams are a lot more strict and all they care about is producing. Their manager is control of their lives, and it can be draining for a lot of people if they don't gain a audience or do well.

I need to find this because I bust my ass for like 22k a year... Also, I'm not gonna hate on this kid... don't know if I would have just retired instantly if it's something you're passionate about but I can see how it would affect his performance as a professional gamer.

Pro gamer, the one who shows up in pubs and cowers with pussy ass hiding perks and silencers. Then gets run out by a random with a full time job and 1/2 bottle of whiskey already knocked out while playing with weapons the pro will never, ever unlock.

Never heard of that. Any video gamer playing competitive would be hard to watch. They don't have the same sportsmanship unspoken rules of not being a douche.
