I am not getting good vibes from this game at all. It is mainly the community that I hate and I still smell camp fire by just reading your comments.
I will keep my mulla in my pockets for now......
Sure been a while since I had something worth while to say :p

I've found so far in this game.. Acquiring and shooting the target to be the hardest part. Sounds weird. When I see a person, I go to aim and fire.. There is a good chance my shots are just to the sides of the person. Even if they are not moving. I don't know if this is an effect from playing so much destiny... Or if my aiming is just this bad.
Anyone else having this issue?
Yes. I even said out loud "WTF? Is there some force field keeping me from snapping on target?"
Then again, I suck.
My biggest problem is acquiring a target before I'm already one.

Ive been running the MORS (Sniper) with an ACOG. It is a machine of a gun. Great at all ranges. Plus.. I seem to be more accurate with it than a fully auto.
Weird

I can count on one hand how many snipers I've seen. And only one of them was any good. Scratch that, he was godly.
It can stay that was as far as I'm concerned. I got nothing against snipers. I DO have a problem with 80% of a lobby being snipers.
But this is an AR dominated game. Barring a patch or 2, I see no reason it won't stay that way. SMGs are good for movement. But how much MORE movement do you need when most people just sit anyway? Shotties are fun, SMGs are insanely fun. But ARs dominate at all ranges.

Do not have them yet.
Im going to post a gameplay of mine with the ACOG MORS. Nothing more satisfying then landing a kill while you are boosting mid air sideways lol. The gameplay im posting I earned 2 dogfight medals (Killing an enemy while you are both midair).

All I could do tonight was sing a little CoD Carol to myself to keep from throwing my controller through my TV:
Up on the rooftop camp camp camp
In a dark corner camp camp camp
Won't leave our own spawn we camp camp camp
Our little boy pants are damp damp damp
Ho ho ho, we think we're "pro"
Hey hey hey, we're really friggin ga... uhhh, lame
Sledgehammer gave us tools that are really neat!
We only ever use them to move 3 feet.
(Played a match on, I think it's called Instinct. My entire team never once left the damned cave they spawned in!)

Releasing a Sniper Montage tomorrow. Its rendering right now. All clips from today.
That Ghosts montage was clips from the entire life span of that game. It was just over 3 minutes long. lol. This montage for AW that im rendering right now, is longer. And it was all clips grabbed from ONE DAY.
Hopefully it gains some traction on YT.

It's a shame, if everyone moved, this game could be quite fun

Someone should try this class, if possible and get back to me.
EM1 (Elite version is best version if you got it, from what I gather), Parabolic Mic + Heat Sink
^ Grip is rather pointless since the gun only recoils when you stop firing, again from what I gather.
Lightweight
Peripherals (to combine w/ Parabolic mic to stooge people w/ suppressors)
Blast Suppression + Hard Wired (flinch is usually not that important while hip firing)
Exo Ability = Your Choice
Launcer = Your Choice
Killstreak = Your Choice
Perk 3 Greed
I've been watching a PC player use this gun, and it basically confirms what I figured. It's a hip-fire beast, that comes with a built in RDS for true long-range shooting, which doesn't really suit this gun tbh. It does decent damage, the Elite version melts people outright. But since it comes with unlimited ammo, that's a pretty big benefit, because you can spray without concern for ammo count, just killing people and not overheating. Plus hip-firing a beam weapon is EZ mode for hitting people while airborne, either you up in the air shooting down or them up in the air you shooting up. That's why the lightning gun is so tier in Quake.

That beam gun sucks on consoles. Frankie on PC confirms its the best gun only for the PC version of advanced warfare.

PC master race.
His vid basically says the problem on console is aiming it. But I used to play Quake 3 on PS2, a lot. So I'm confident I'd do fine w/ a controller.

I'll set this up right now and run it. Will report back in an hour or so.
EDIT: Might take me a minute to get the attachments needed.

SO the thing is a HITMARKER king. Couldnt use it long enough to unlock attachments. Maybe next session Ill try it again.
On another note.
I got an Atlas 45 (Handgun) called Oath Breaker. Its Elite. I was having a blast running lightweight and hipfiring the thing. Talk about playing fast lol.

Is it just me? Or is it damned hard to hear other player's footsteps in this game? No wonder they did away with Dead Silence. You don't really need it. LOL
I'm having a really hard time figuring out the maps and where the enemy should be. I seem to do a lot of, "ok, they should be over here..." <shot in the back> ugh. I'm not very good at figuring out what the minimap is telling me either. I THINK most of my team is at my back, but I get flanked anyway. It's to the point where I'm pretty sure I could put my back against a corner of the map and STILL get shot from behind.
Other than maybe Instinct, none of the maps feel good to me. There's no real flow to them. I feel like I may as well be playing FFA since at any moment, with no real rhyme or reason, someone will just pop out behind you or right in front of you. Or maybe that's these fubar spawns' doing. And the minimap is like reading Greek to me. What I think it says, and where people really are are far apart.
Did I mention I suck? LOL

Anyone else having connection problems? I thought there were supposed to be dedicated servers. Seems like a lot of my games are laggy. Or that could just be college internet

apparently, next gen is rumored to be getting them at some point
until then, we're stuck complaining about the same god damned thing for the 6th straight year

So, I picked this game up, well, because it's November in Canada.
I got to thinking what the heck it was we used as a baseline for our assessments of the game.
Ghosts sucked.
BO2 sucked.
MW3 sucked.
BO1 was fun because of the crew, but, laggy and inconsistent as fck.
MW2 sucked.
WaW what?
And then there was COD4.
Are we still nostalgic over a game released nearly a decade ago?
COD is what it is now, and we should all know that after 6 or 7 iterations.
I have played a few games in between COD's, and always come back to COD because, in spite of it's shortfalls, it's a better feeling game.
AW is a fun game, with a lot of changes to how the game itself plays.
The maps are all on the smallish side (we all hated huge maps)
With the double jump thing, it's easy to get at the rooftop campers because they haven't got an explosive device blocking the only 2 entrances to their spot (and we all hated that)
I spite of what Syn has demonstrated, Sniping is a non-issue (and we all hated the easy mode IW sniper setups).
Killstreaks are not a major issue as they don't really dominate in the ways other KS's did (and we hated OP killstreaks)
People are still dickhole campers, finding shadows and corners, but, they are the minority....and I still think they have been the minority all along. The majority of my killcams show me losing to someone doing something other than sitting in a cvnthole somewhere protected by another cvnthole facing the other way.
Connections have always been the deal breaker for me. Go 35-2 one game and then, against the same group, same map, go 8-16.
It is what it is. What it is for me now, is laughing to tears with Syn and Natas and whoever else wants to do THAT, and play some games in the process.
I've stopped wanting to get to Syn's level. Now I do it to just do the best I can with the limited time I have to play. It's a fun game if you just try to have fun playing it. As soon as I expect to be in the top 3, or expect to win the majority of my games, it stops being fun. And as soon as I stopped expecting any developer to bring back a COD4 feel, I stopped having the game begin from a negative starting point.
This is a super fun game. Go in with no expectations and it's even better.

#64856The maps could be bigger for this game. Just because of the exo suit. Maps have to much stuff in it, like buildings and shit. So if they were to make a bigger map with almost nothing on it, perfect. Game is fun so far. I still have 40 hates and 1 like of this game right noe.

Maybe a Wasteland esque map?
They had to add a bunch of buildings.. what else are the exo suits for?
I am going to do a major review video here in a minute. Should be up tomorrow.

Campers and non movers are not the only thing that ruined this community. I agree that if I were to get this game and play with you guys it would be fun. We would laugh and cry and eat cake.
However...
You need look no further than your nearest game to see how the COD community has infected or poured over into other games. I played DayZ PvP a couple times and each time I died right where I spawned. I can understand you killing someone for their gear when they have been playing a few weeks and have some junk but sitting near game spawn points to kill them when all they have is a f*cking flashlight and a bandage just smells of the douchebaggery that is the COD community.
Sh*t was never like that before in the all encompassing way it is now.
Each year I really want to like COD again but every year without fail I am disappointed. Maybe it is a PC thing. Maybe I expect to much from a developer that could allow dedicated servers but won't, a company that cannot take a page out of the book of "do right by your roots" and give dedicated servers like a whole mess of other companies do, some that even started by making games for console and then added PC.
Guess we will have to wait and see. I still hold out faith in the bots but something is holding me back.
