As we grew I figured life would become stale so watching sports would slowly be a growing interest. Quite the opposite, the NHL (for obvious reasons), NBA, and MLB channel packages cost more than we sell. No one watches anymore. Couldn't name 3 World Series winners in last 10 years.
And Red Sox suck

My interest level this season has been about 11% and with both the O's and Nat's struggling it's about to dip to about 4%... then come playoffs my interest level will raise to about 17%.

hey the O's aren't doing bad! they've beat the red sox twice and giving themselves a good chance of getting to the wildcard play off. you never know :dhiph0pan0tamus wrote:My interest level this season has been about 11% and with both the O's and Nat's struggling it's about to dip to about 4%... then come playoffs my interest level will raise to about 17%.

Indians clinched Top wildcard. We play Texas/Tampa in a 1 game playoff wednesday. Then winner goes on to play BOSTON.
We are 21-6 in September and have won 10 straight. We are playing terrible teams though lol.

oh yeh shit i forgot about the wildcard playoff thing lol.
i shouldn't have as i was trying to work out exactly who red sox would be playing :p
if you had have lost tonight.. there would have been some weird 3 way play off going.. well it still is a 3 way.. but you only gotta play one game.
tampa and texas play each other tomorrow night? hopefully with the form you've been in you can win easily :d
but i'm still gonna be going for red sox :p

Lol Chisa.. I'm no stranger to how you feel about Boston's sporting franchises, so this doesn't come as a surprise.Chisa wrote:I hope they lose in spectacular fashion

But how can you not love these guys? After finishing bottom of the AL East last year, they have made an amazing turnaround.
They are a great team, full of passion and spirit. May not have the talent that we had in 2007 but Boston prove again that you don't need to have the best players. Fear the beard :p

It has nothing to do with the players, I actually like them a lot....it's all about the fans. Boston Sports fans are the absolute most obnoxious bunch of people that have ever been produced by a major market. Win or lose, they will be the biggest bunch of douchebags around. Look at the Jets game, perfect example of the babies they are, acting like the rules shouldn't apply to them.lilaclegend wrote:Lol Chisa.. The media coverage is even worse. First story, no matter what, is about the sox. A f**king tank could blow up Wall St., and the Boston media would lead their broadcast about David Ortiz.
Because of that, I hope the Sox lose every single year, so I can see that miserable look on all their faces. Forever.

I guess as I have never even visited Boston, I have no idea what it is like. I know that the Boston media are pretty bad when it comes to red sox. And I can imagine it can get pretty annoying if you're not a fan :pChisa wrote:It has nothing to do with the players, I actually like them a lot....it's all about the fans. I know you like the players, you did say the other night after they'd won.. but I thought it might be enough to make you want them to win :p
I've felt for a while now this could be Boston's year again..but St. Louis are a very talented side.. so will be tough. You may get your wish :p

I would rather sit with a dozen drunk, racist Red Sox fans than 2 Eagles fans.
