That is the closest I could find. The 140 is a size down from the 160 I paddle, seems they may have discontinued the 160. Bought mine used in '06, they've made a few design changes in the years since then.
Alpha, when I keep fish, they go on a clip that is tied to the kayak. In the ocean, that goes in the rear hatch. Anywhere else it hangs in the water, or in my lap while on the move.

I kayak a perception pescador 12. Its the same mild as a tarpon 120 but half the price.
I went fishing this past weekend. Only caught a 15 inch flounder on a Lil speck killa.

How you keep 5 fish in your lap, and you can't hand fish under a boat. Unless you want fish heads on a stringer.

Lol. Reason why I have a fish bag in the back of the kayak.

Never knew that about the tarpon/pescador. Too bad they couldn't do anything about the weight lol.
Put the fish in the hatch because I already feel like I'm sitting on a 16' topwater bait sometimes, don't need to start a chum slick, too. Those fish bags are nice, but too bulky to fit inside my hatch. I just dip a burlap sack in the water and lay it out in there.

I've gone wading the last few early evenings in the Potomac and the Monocacy Rivers and everything is biting. Between the 3 inch chartreuse grubs on just a plain 1/8th oz jig head attached to a 10 year Quantum ultralite or the 3 inch popper on a brand spanking Fenwick Elite TECH Smallmouth Series Spinning Rods I got the 6ft one. <--(incomplete thought but **** it lol)
And this is the reel Quantum Escalade

Hit the Sonoma coast yesterday for some rockfish. Was a tough bite yesterday, despite ideal conditions, but we got some.
Lost my big fish of the day right at the boat. Big ass Ling, 15-20lbs easy. Tried to put the lip gripper on her and she flipped out, made another run for the bottom and broke me off. Took my favorite iron jig with her.

heading to the beach in a bit. I've never surfed fish before so I went out and bought a big ass pole and some big ass weights.
Boat is going down, I think mom is bringing her walmart special kayak down. She'll flip.

50ish in the AM, warming to low 60s later. Water is 60 right now. More often than not you're in fog/overcast conditions. Its more of a windbreaker than anything else, though. No insulation. Wear a wet suit underneath in case I end up in the drink.

Boss is taking us out for salmon this Sunday. Reports look good, hopefully the bite is better than last year. The new kid is coming out, too. When asked if he's ever been out on the ocean, he says, 'no, but I took a field trip to a pirate ship for school once.' Should be good.

New kid didn't get sick, but had to go in the cabin and put his head down for a couple hours. He pulled it together and came back out on deck before we could hide anchovies in his bag of Doritos.
Got one, missed another. Pic doesn't do it justice. Fish weighed 20-25lbs.

Going Striper hunting early tomorrow morning. First time I've been out in a month, pretty stoked. Anyone else doing good lately?

Half a dozen other boats were working the same area when I drifted through and picked up the first fish. Put it on the clip, paddled back and dropped another bait down, drifted through the boats again and got the second fish. Got my limit in under 10 minutes, and never saw anyone else hook up lol.

Is anyone else even fishing these days?

I was using smaller fish called shiner perch as bait. I go out and catch them with a cast net before fishing.

Smart. Wish I knew where I can find a place that would sell them.
Spent 3 days fishing and all I catch was a baby turtle. lol
Lol.
You doing it wrong if all your catching is baby turtles. You've only been in your area for a short time.. ask around. You'll find out what works and what doesnt.
They dont put "A bad day fishing beats a good day working" on mugs for nothing!

This. Find a bait/tackle shop near you and introduce yourself. Nine times out of ten they will be happy to tell you what's biting where, and how to target them. They probably even have some small fish you can buy to catch bigger fish with, too!
