Your record will be beat once I have the spare cash to mod a car. My best speed on an un-modded car is 156mph with Franklin.hiph0pan0tamus wrote:I got my Porshe Carrera to hit 230 mph on a crowded downtown street.
So is gta5 the best game of all time?

The missions are really fun, I don't see how you could be bored. I get how just exploring can get old, but there's so much to do if that doesn't interest you. As someone who is prone to boredom (see "The Last of Us"), this game had me completely hooked.

It's the whole searching for stuff and exploring for side missions I hate. I have a very weird gaming complex where if I don't see or feel that I am accomplishing something I lose interest fast. That's why I've prestiged 27 times in mw3 and going through my 3rd prestige master in blops2.
Complete opposite of how I am when it comes to real life practices. Weird.

I totally get that.
At this point, there seems to be so much going on with the main missions, that the story is actually keeping my interest in a very big way. Very few games have been able to do that.

Damn. Wish I knew that. I rushed them with my shotgun. Must have took 8 attempts before I won!Chisa wrote:on Trevor's first mission yesterday, in the trailer park

if there's nothing flammable around, aim near the gas tank of cars, they explode quickly and do a LOT of damage to the surroundings

That grenade launcher mission felt so wrong, and so right at the same time.

Camped it until I got my health up and went shooting in that mission.
I must say that playing with a crazy guy makes one do some crazy things :p
It is like the game is forcing me into role playing each character.

#49002There is a little exploit you can take advantage of early in the game, as soon as you unlock Trevor. With him, you can unlock all the weapons and gun upgrades for free. It is, of course, cheating and an exploit that most likely will get fixed in future updates, so make sure you take advantage of it as soon as possible. So here is the only GTA 5 guns cheat that you can use without disabling achievements/trophies:
The steps are really easy. In the video below, we are using Trevor during the Nervous Ron mission, but actually as long as you have the money, you can do it during any mission. So here is what to do:
1. You need to be IN A MISSION with Trevor (who has a ton of money once you unlock him).
2. Go to a Gun Shop and enter the store.
3. Buy every gun and upgrade that you want. Also buy grenades.
4. Go outside and use a grenade to blow yourself up. You will fail the mission.
5. When you restart the mission, you will have all the money and all the weapons you have previously unlocked will be available for free.

So I did the first heist mission, which was ****ing great but I won’t spoil nothing, and did not get any money. It showed the cuts of each member of the crew but I did not get the money :/
Checked my bank account and did not get anything in that, too.
Do I have to wait until we are "low" until I get the money or what? 700K god damn it! I want it and I want it now!

They have to sell the loot first, it'll show up on your account later

Oh cool. Thanks for the help because I was worried back there.Chisa wrote:They have to sell the loot first, it'll show up on your account later

I stole a heli with Frank. Use L1 and R1 to turn around. As in hold R1 for a while and you will do a 360.
Use the L3 like you would use the R3 in Battlefield games. To control where the heli will go. Since the heli has momentum, you need to think ahead and change the direction of the L3 stick before you need it. Think of online lag but while flying.
That is it, really
If all else fails, fly up as far as you can to get more time to correct your mistakes and avoid buildings.

I'm not sure if any of y'all ever play TDMs, but I thought I'd pass on some tips that were given to me today by the top ranked player in the world on GTA. She's been helping me to improve my PvP skills in TDM, so I thought I'd pass on some of the highlights of our PMs to each other.
1.) NEVER equip a flashlight on ANY of your weapons in TDM unless you want your opponent to know EXACTLY where you're at.
2.) ALWAYS equip a silencer on ALL of your weapons.
3.) ALWAYS spam the combat roll to break your opponents auto-aim.
4.) NEVER run since it gives away your position and make sure that your stealth stat is maxed out.
5.) NEVER bring a gun to a RPG/GL fight LOL!
6.) This is common sense to us COD players, but always pay attention to where your team mates are getting killed on the mini-map and flank accordingly.

I am gonna focus on GTA Online now, since that's what I'll be playing once it drops for PC.
I'm playing story mode on 360 just to get back into GTAV.
#1. When you create your online character. Remember; 7 hours sleeping, 2 hours family&friends, 3 hours sports/working out, 6 hours legal work, 6 hours illegal work. This will give you the best starting stats all-around, giving you more in the skills that are difficult to max, and less in the ones that are EZ to max.
#2. Pick the best car you can when you create your character to be your first insured car. This is free, and you can't snag a Zentoro or something, but you can find like a nice vehicle that drives well.
#3. Stat maxing. Stealth = rubber bands and AFK (inside your apartment is best, and if you pre-order GTA5 on PC, you get 800k for online to buy a 10 car apartment with), Lung Capacity = get scuba gear and hang out underwater or dive/swim until maxed, Stamina = run/bike/swim, Strength = play golf (hole 6), Flying = fly under bridges/take off and land (stay grounded for 3-4 seconds), Driving = take a bike and ride between two lane of traffic on the highway, Shooting = play survival and get headshots.
#4. Get the 200k 10 car apartment. It has all the bells and whistles the more expensive ones have and saves you a ton of cash.
#5. If you want to throw down on a race car, the Zentoro is the one to get.
#6. Rock the free DLC weapons and don't worry about buying guns or ammo early on. The only guns really worth "investing" in are the AP Pistol, Combat MG, whatever AR you like, Assault Shotgun, Marksman Rifle/Heavy Sniper, and the Grenade Launcher. When it comes to attachments, just avoid the flashlights they give you away in TDM. Suppressors and extended magazines rule the universe.
#7. Higher level = higher HP (20 for 20). So I plan on getting on all the xp exploits. You can get a max of an additional 100 HP @ lvl 100. So I'm really only concerned about hitting 120 for all the unlocks and the 100 extra HP.
This is all assuming that the PC version doesn't make particular changes to stats and what not.
