After seeing so many Hupit douchebags start a match, then never be seen all game, and usually not be seen at the end of the game, I was prompted to post this at the Hupit site:
_________________________________________
I'm closing on on 7th prestige, and over the course of time since Black Ops release, I've come accross plenty of Hupit players.
Is it coincidence that the VAST majority of players from this site can be categorically described as:
1. Ghost using corner/bush/shrub/office/desk/rooftop/window campers
2. High K/D, pathetically low w/l players
3. Plug pulling quitters who never seem to be around when the game is done
....or is this just an unfair representation of the people coming out of this website, repping the HuPT clan tag?
Seems to me, HupT stands for Hide in Unusual Places all the Time.
I wish I could only be referring to the low rank HupT ilk, but I've seen this all the way through 14th prestigers.
Maybe I should spend a bit of time looking around the forum to see what the mandate of this site is....but I gotta tell ya, the dozens of players I've come accross with HupT in their clan tag are garbage.

Haha nice.
I posted on that forum a week or 2 ago. Was a Which is better KD or WL thread. Quite a few actually said WL. But of course there were some KD guys.
How can they even call that a forum? I call it a message board inside a website.
Oh well.

Shocking.
It got deleted after not even being up for 30 minutes.
Some of the responses were....healthy. Not douchy. This was one of the responses I chose to deal with first. In the time it took me to reply to is, my thread vanished.
I copied it in case of some BS like COD4boards used to put you through, only to have it come up as "not valid".

Deathly Rat wrote:Wow, nice 1st post OP. You don't seem like a little douche-bag at all. I'm glad you brought your preconceptions with you. I wonder if you've noticed that many people are using ghost and 2nd chance, even people not using HupT clan tag. I've never played with anyone from HupT who uses 2nd chance, and ghost is a legit perk so deal with it.
Kaz--Money wrote:Seems I've struck a nerve with Mr. Rat. Obviously, you're my target audience.
First, post count, like kdr, isn't the gauge of success or failure, or legitimacy or illegitimacy. Whether this was my first post or my thousandth, post count should be of little relevence to the discussion. 1 post doesn't mean I was born yesterday, nor does it mean that I just figured out how to turn on a gaming console.
Secondly, these aren't "preconceptions".
If you came across dozens of TCOB players (for instance) and they rushed and stuffed lead down your throat from start to finish, you make a judgment about thier playstyle based on evidence--NOT some pre-formed conception of them.
I have done the same with HupT. Several dozen of them have graced the lobbies, and nearly all of them do the same thing, have the same perks, the same gun, and the same playstyle--if they even finish the game.
And sure, ghost is a "legitimate" perk, and so is second chance. But they are training wheel perks. One is a perk designed around a 3 kill streak. Strela can replace that. So can Counter Spy Plane. The other requires a death in order to acquire a kill. To steal from your vocabulary, it doesn't get more douche-bag than that.
So while legit, they are something you'd expect from the 0-34 users. When a 14th prestiger is still using ghost in every game mode, on every map and with every gun class, when they drop into second chance, or return to that same camping spot, you can tell that their game hasn't evolved much from when they turned the game on.

Here is the PM I received from a moderator:
Well, gotta say, I totally respect the tone with which you've dealt with the issue via PM, but I have lost even more respect for the Hupit name following my less than 1 hour stay here.
It certainly does mimic the experiences I have with Hupit gamers online--when facing adversity, back out. When losing, pull the plug.
When a post might be controversial, delete it.
If a post contravenes the general board mandate or consensus, shut it down.
I can handle myself in a mature and respectful manner. I can only encourage you to reopen the thread and allow an open discourse on what is obviously an epidemic in the game.
if you reckon 25% are "guilty as charged", I'd hazard a guess that it's closer to 50-60% based on direct experience with Hupiteers.
Black Ops is in a failing state of health due to people who fall into the 25-60% range. Closing topics that challenge the "training wheel" playstyle isn't moving in the right direction. Now those who opposed my thesis, can claim a moral victory because I got shut down, and their opinions became validated without any debate on the issue.

"Dear Kaz--Money,
Regarding your thread; Is this a coincidence?
Valid as your point may be, this thread is likely to p**s a lot of people off and just end up with people arguing.
I think it's best that I closed the thread.
No hard feelings,
Sam
P.s. From personal experience about 25% of Hupiteers are the sorts you are referring to. the other 75% (including people in the forum, are generally very good)

LOL nice TCOB shout out. Spent 3 hours there after scrubs thread on boards about it, and that forum is a joke. A messager inside a forum as Syn put it is a great description. Reminds me of boards OT section. Just a bunch of little kids playin grab ass.
And i've seen a few people support W/L over KD there, but i doubt that is their true mindset in game.... because they were comin from players w/ 3+ kd
