Same here Chis, I like my PX21's but the wire is a pain and for whatever reason (big ears i guess) the earcups kill me after a couple hours, so i've been looking at getting some new ones, might just have to wait

yeah, I've started to notice some irritation when wearing the headset for a while
is there a splitter that allows for me to have the headphones plugged into the optical out AND a cable going to my surround sound system...I'm getting sick of plugging/unplugging

So I'm guessing you got the DSS processor Scrub.. i don't, never wanted to invest the money, so for me it's worth it.. a hundred bucks for new headset with Surround already built in and they are wireless versus the DSS for 90 bucks i think, I smell an upgrade LOL

But it's 'virtual' surround right? lol
That is what the PX21's do. Otherwise it may be enticing. I'm looking at the new Turtlebeahes. Expensive though.

The PX21's are stereo, they have a great sound but it's not virtual surround, the DSS processor like Scrub has converts the stereo output into virtual surround. These come with the 7.1 virtual surround system built in.. it's hard to find a decent headset with 7.1 VSS that's also wireless for under a 150 bucks.. starting to feel like I should be sponsored or something.. SONY I WANT FREEBIES

The only bad thing about the TB's is the damn humming noise. However, I dont see this headset being much better than the PX21's. Mine are still going strong for now and I may upgrade as soon as my TB's decide to take a shit.

I dont see an upgrade in my future.
Wireless have always been problematic. Even Bluetooth.
Shit not connecting, or interferring. Ill put up with a wire.

7.1 are just two extra channels= extra pair of side speakers. I believe games and movies and still using 5.1
