Life Is Calling

#11720I'm pretty sure my gaming days are numbered. I am just bored of games now.
Over the PSN outage had 3 weeks to think. And life has just hit me. Hang out with friends, go to prom, graduate, go back to lifting weights, build things. Games are going to be the back track. I will be on but rarely.
Just thought I'll go an enjoy life before I can't anymore. So for now, **** the games, **** the console. School, work, and fun is my priority now.
(Sorry for the poor thingy up there, but TS;DR, Games will be played rarely now. )

As unhealthy as it was to brew in them 3-4-5 hours a night, it might be ok to simmer down. Get your life in, games a hobby.
I need to adjust the schedule a bit so routine is ending around 9 pm and not 10. Groups are parting by that late.

Yea, only problem with this is your 9-10 is my 11-12 when I'm gone. I usually have fun with the group but lost interest as of late.
Maybe I will just play for maybe hour or 2 a night.
I may have to make a schedule when to do what and when to do it. So online is definitely on the back burner now.
@Ikon, I have been playing games for 18 years (whole life) turning 19 and just feel like I lost interest. Maybe it is because COD lost the fun.

Now worries Frenchie. I cut back a bit. I actually prefer talking in the chatbox lol. But will play if people are on.
I play action-adventure games only when I got nothing to do lol

I took a break from gaming through ages 18-25. Took care of priorities and built a life. But now Im married with a kid and have more time to game considering I'm not trolling the bars and such anymore.
You'll be back your just growing up. It happens in every gamers life. At least those that have a life. Good luck with everything and when you find one that doesn't take all your money keep her.

I am not done with games, but I scaled back my time a bit. But I feel like I have to play COD now because the party doesn't have Shadow or Alpha anymore (The powerhouses). I feel like the rest of you could use someone decent to fill up the party . Although I would still love if we switched games to Killzone 3 or Battlefield 3. Less stress, less lag, less campers.

I took a break from gaming back when I was younger (24-31), and I'm not playing as much now as pre psn crash. I'm still going to play, still going to pick up games, but until Blops gets replaced, I may not be able to tolerate 3 hour sessions, makes me too angry lol

Completely understandable Shadow, I'm 30 and I gotta admit that when I was you're age I did alot of partying and raised some hell, always played games they were just on the back burner that didn't really work so you don't use it LOL. Now I still make time to get on almost everynight, but I also have a very active and mostly outdoors job that keeps me centered, plus i still take time every week at least once a week to go fishing or something. You gotta find the balance and for you you're kinda in state of change right now and you should do what you think is good for you, enjoy being young dude, whatever it is that makes you happy we are all here to support ya

This is happening to me too. I've been doing other stuff (baseball) but our season is over now. But, I play for another league so yeah.
During the summer I'll have much more time to game .

Meh, Prom tomorrow, butterflies in my belly. Meeting a pretty girl there. After prom we going shipwreck travern to have more fun. Not come home till around 3-4 am.
Gotta make it special!
@Nat, thanks buddy.
Gonna have a blast, make sure I make the best. Games will always be there. Life and the person you love won't.

Had a break from gaming at ages 0 through 34. Got back when I was in my mid 30's.
I found myself enjoying the numbness of the experience, then it turned into a means to connect with adults who were doing virtually the same thing.
I've cranked more out of my life in 36 years than most will in 90, so I've got a lot of "been there done that" in my back pocket--which is what astonishes me about the number of kids who pour days and days into different games without so much as coming up for an occasional breath of air.
I'm in a waning stage of my gaming. The PSN outage certainly doused my fire....as I was reengaged in other things.
Nat and I joked last night that there used to be nights when we could fill 2 lobbies and still have people left out. We couldn't fill a team last night...or the last time I played....or the time before that.
I am sad to feel less of that "friendship" on those nights of debauchery, as you guys were always what brought me back after I "gave up the game". But it gets me stoked to think that there are fewer people wasting away in front of a gaming console, and getting out to experience the more lasting things in life.

i think were all feeling a bit of burn out. most of us have been playing 6 nights a week since COD4 so its bound to be taking a toll on our souls.
ive been trying other games and its been enjoyable but nothing beats getting a lobby together and just turning a team over in minutes.
When PS store comes back online we should all get LBP and create a level or just **** around on the already made ones. it will relax us a lil bit i think

LittleBigPlanet is so fun. Its a platformer game. Think Mario with wayyyy better graphics, and more fun.
And I'm gonna get inFamous and Dead Nation.
