So, I will be selling my PS3 soon. I want to sell it with AW and BO3 loaded onto it, but, with my accounts, and my personal/credit card information deleted.
I have found some how to's on youtube for user deletion, and credit card deletion, but, it looks like I have to resore the console to factory settings, which I interpret as saying, all games will also be deleted.
Any thoughts, tips, advice?
Thanks

whether it's a computer, or a gaming system, ALWAYS do a factory restore before selling
it's a pain in the ass to load games back on, but it's the safest way to go about it
you could always just give the discs on the side, have the person load them on their own

These were PSN downloads...and would sure help with my selling price...but not if I'm going to see charges from some rub 'n tug in Manila show up on my credit card.

besides the one's that are already there
I think the problem is, if you delete your account, the games will not be playable, so you may be SoL on this

So, when you load a game "onto" the console, there is no way to keep it there? Weird.

you can keep it, as long as your account is on the machine...the games are tied to you, not the hardware

Can I leave an account, but delete all my other info so if they want to log in with that account, then create a personal one, they can?
I dont' even care if they have my Kaz--Money account....I'll start a new one. I just want it secure from fraudulent activity.

not sure, but I suspect it's tied to the KazMoney log in, so if you can get rid of the credit card info and don't mind losing the account, it may work

Have a few well-established Kaz--Money accounts that might be enticing to someone...

The data transfer won't work.
I created my son an account and copied all the past game data utility and moved it to his new account. It looked like it worked fine, but every game I open says This Data was created by another account and you must erase and start over. So all progress on any game is lost by moving to another account.
And if you leave that account. The new user will need to PW and email access

The email is a dud account that I created for my PSN stuff. I would have to look up the account and password...but, I can probably just delete my credit card info from the PSN, then give the new owner my dud email, my Kaz--Money account info, and be safe...yeah?

Should be. As long as nothing is tied to it.
Gave away an account on COD boards to a random. Email and all. I think it was I_throw_martys . Dude tanked the KD in a week lol
This current PS3 came from Gamestop as refurbed. It was loaded with the owners CC info and email. I erased it, because I knew him being in the same town. But that could have been a lawsuit.

That's what I will likely do. Delete the PSN info (address, cc info, etc), then sell it with the email address and user accounts.
Pretty numbers on COD4, a maxed BO1, lots of progress on MW3 and BO2...
Not that they'd pull big bucks, but, may as well go to someone who is also getting the game disks.

just prepare yourself from starting from zero on the COD "master collection" series, that will inevitably come out

I understand it will sell better.. but it's not advisable. With what people can do with gaming consoles.. id be skeptical. Also did you download those games on the Kaz money account? I'll talk to you later tonight about it.
