Read through Micks post in the other thread. Figured we should start compiling knowledge to help eachother out.
So here is what I have learned from HOURS worth of playing:
Weapons are hit or miss. Range and the type of gun play a BIG factor. Shotguns from more than a few feet out will always take multiple shots. If you see an enemy obliterating you with 1.. something else is going on. They are probably closer than you think they are (ie: lag). Or they have friendlies shooting at you as well.
Try pre-damaging the enemies with Grenades. I have my Discipline (which is an added bonus on different armor types) all the way up to 100% effect. Thus, making my Nades refresh a LOT faster. Therefore I can throw WAY MORE than normal. Nades seem to be a huge factor in Control (The game mode).
Work on shooting at a guy a teammate is already shooting at.. team killing people is the best way to take down enemies.
Aim high! Hitting enemies Chest or above will result in them going down MUCH quicker. I hipfire everything within a few feet range, because the natural recoil at that range lifts my gun to the enemy head. Cannot emphasize this enough - If you wonder why your bullets didnt kill first, its because the other guy shot higher.
Save your special for when you know it will be big. Dont waste it on that 1 guy roaming the edge of the map. Drop it when you see the enemy are taking a flag.. because chances are - there are MULTIPLE enemies. And when you kill Multiple people you create multiple orbs of light (more on that below).
Watch for when your teammates use their special ability. When it says "vNATASv created 2 orbs of light" look for them on the ground. They are little swirly balls of white, and they will fill your own special meter up WAY quicker.
For Vehicles -
Your own health is SEPARATE from the Vehicles. The Vehicle does not have a health bar. You can tell how damaged it is by looking for fire coming from the hood of it. When you see your health bar going down or the enemies whilst on vehicles, that is actually THE PLAYERS health bar. So if you are shooting at a player on a vehicle, shoot at the player - not the vehicle they are on (Unless you want to blow the vehicle up, then shoot that).
Save your Special for the Vehicles. The interceptor goes down in 1 use of a Warlocks Special.
Use the Rocket Launcher, it works well against vehicles when Heavy ammo gets added into the match.
Interceptor will control the entire match on Moon. Control that vehicle, and you will win. Pikes are cool for scrounging a few kills off the ground, but the interceptor can clear bases and any type of vehicle in the map.

Also, some people have some rare ass weapons and armor. You just gotta bite the bullet with them.
Good thread. This orbs of light dealy has been a stone in my shoe for a while now. Thanks for clearing it up.

Some of the things you said I can relate.
I will continue playing but as of now, not buying.

it's really nice to play a game that takes skill, and a game where snipers aren't a one hit kill to the toe

Had Godz run around with my character today. He enjoyed it more than his own. Take some time and play through the story and rank up and get some gear. Then jump into competitive .

Last time we played, I had some upgrades I never checked out. Some of my weapons became alot more powerful. Increased my defense as well. Multiplayer shouldn't be as bad anymore.
