I am very interested in this game and also building a gaming PC. If everything works out, I should be up and going by the middle of next month.

That will be fun. First PC? Either way we need to play DayZ together.

I will play DayZ with you. Though I am not sure you would want to play on the server I play on, you might think it rather boring as it is non PVP.

I will take some updated screenies today maybe a movie.

You won't be disappointed. You going fancy or spartan with your build?

Here is a video that is probably really boring. If I do another one it will be to showcase what you can do with Epoch.
Then again I had such a problem doing this video that I am not sure I want to both with youtube anymore.

Lol. I have no idea what that means. If I had to take a guess, you're asking if im going AMD or Intel?
I haven't really decided yet although Im leaning towards Intel. I guess it all depends on my budget.

No, I was asking if you were going to go with large capacity drives or SSD, super high specs or moderate specs. I am an AMD person but to each their own.

I will go with a SSD drive for fasting load up time and If I can fit it in with my budget. Are there other pros to an SSD besides faster boot up times? It wouldn't bother me at all if a HDD took a minute or two to bot up windows compared to an almost instant boot up with the SSD.
A 700 budget should get me running games at high settings.
I will either go with a FX-6350 or an i5 4670k.

I am probably the wrong person to ask as I have never liked SSD. I prefer the storage size and convenience of HDD.
You could do a RAID 5 configuration and it would be pretty fast. Also it has redundant memory. Meaning if one drive fails you pull it out and put in another drive and the RAID array rebuilds the drive using the information stored on the other drives.

Hmm. that's interesting the way that configuration works. I will look more into it. Thanks.

It is up and running and they are no joke. I consider myself to be an extremely good DayZ player and I got my ass handed to me last night twice.

Throwing my hat into the map making arena. My friend is renting a server and we are creating different mods and I am working on a map.
It is not as tough as I had originally thought and uses SQL which I am familiar with. The map making itself has proven a little challenging but overall it has been a pretty good experience.
We have added some items to the traders and fixed a few minor issues with Epoch on the map we are using as well as raised the inventory cap on all items to make it easier to buy things like bicycles to get back to your vehicle after selling another vehicle you found.
