Contractor working on a penthouse unit in my building (David Ortiz's unit) accidentally damaged a sprinkler pipe, causing a massive leak and flood that managed to hit every electrical room on the way down
Boston Fire Department turned off our power until Thursday Night (earliest), so that means no power, no heat

I don't think I've ever been more pissed off in my entire life

Sucks dude.
Look on the bright side though I guess, this are just freezing temps....not hugely sub-zero. We just emerged from a snap where we had temps with wind chills well into the -40's. Even with the furnace working overtime, it was still chilly.
Stay warm in bed. Light lots of tea light. Guzzle bourbon.

Go stay in a hotel for a night. Make the stupid contracting company reimburse you.

Night 1 wasn't too bad....interior temps got down to the mid 50s, but we have plenty of blankets and wore more clothes than either of us like, to bed. Seriously, I wore socks to bed. HATE.IT.
we spent the evening wearing camping style headlamps on our faces, constantly blinding each other when we look to talk to each other
fortunately, laptop had plenty of charge, so we threw in a DVD after dinner and fell asleep pretty early.
have to say, best night of sleep I've had in months

Power out now, would be tolerable, but, still damn chilly. Glad you made it through night 1.
Maybe big money up top will throw some money down the elevator shaft when this is all done with. Or drop that Mustang you want in your parking stall. lol
