Talking with Alpha last night, he said the maps are a waste of money.
He told me that Scrubs is contemplating deleting them, and if Scrubs ditched them, he'd consider taking them off as well.
The reason is, I was sitting there, literally with my credit card in my hand and then got a MW2 invite (which, truth be told, I should have declined--that game, and the players, are garbage. No offense to any of you guys in the lobby. You know who I'm talking about!).
So I never bought them.
When Alpha and I went back to BO, I never did anything about them....so, the long and the short of it is, I'll buy them if they're going to be in your rotations. I'll save the hassle of the analog key entry session for buying them and just rock the regular maps with y'all.
You decide. I don't care either way.

Stadium is alright, but the maps in general are camptastic. Berlin is one of the worst maps I've ever played in a FPS.
For me, I don't care, I'll spend the 15 even if it's just for some interesting combat training matches.
I'm going to pick up homefront and check that out, since PSN will be down today.

Gimme the verdict on Homefront. It was the only game I've ever seen that enticed me with it's pre-release propaganda video.
So....anyone else going to keep the maps?
I just want to be on the same page as everyone. I dread campers, and campy maps, but more to the heart of the issue....I hate using my controller to enter all that credit information for the PSN.
lol

I agree in part the MP maps are campy. I believe this is due to all the newfags not knowing where to go yet (poor excuse but its the one they'll use). The zombie map, imo, is amazing but I don't think you're into zombies much Kaz? Honestly I won't be deleting the maps, but if I were contemplating buying them, I think a tally of who will and will not be using them is definitely needed.

Meh...I was trying to avoid Dl'ing the maps to avoid the work involved in keying in all the info.
Your way, although much appreciated, is no less labor.
I'll add 'em tonight. That way I'll have some different maps to play for combat training.

The maps are ok. I got used to playing them and where people run routes and hide, etc. im keeping them. I actually enjoy stadium. Kowloon, not so much because its all fucked up and random. The other two maps, are decent and not as campy once you have a team of rushers who can be everywhere at once.

I got em, so they are staying.

Don't like 'em, but my dad does, so I gotta keep them. MP maps are campy, and Ascension is just... meh. Kino was better, and those damn Perk Monkeys piss me off.

I got rid of the MW2 packs within a few weeks of having them.
Didn't regret it one bit.

I agree Berlin wall is terrible, with campers, considering there only 3-4 entrances to the sides, i may be picking up homefront also.

Did some combat training....didn't mind all the maps, but Kowloon is beyond my level of understanding. Too many rooms, stairs, rooftops, and ledges that bring a whole new level of Kazzing to the game.

I like the maps so far.
Found out that Staduim is actually the campiest.
2 perfect ledges/balconies, lots of corners, small map, high traffic through sitting areas=campfest.
Why, why, why?
Nuketown last night, campers galore.
Really???
Smallest map = campiest.
Don't get it one bit.

My maps in order of distaste first:
BerlinWall
Stadium
Kowloon
Discovery
Im not including Zombies map.
BerlinWall = Too many Campers. Long sightlines, and a hundred buildings = Camping.
Stadium = Less Campers, but they exist. I figured out its about the routes you take on this map. Avoid the 3 main camper perches, and run routes to give you cover against them.
Kowloon = Tricky. Very open map. Lots of passages, and cut throughs. After the map is figured out, should be good fun.
Discovery = Sexy. Looks good. I like the Aurora Boreialis(sp). Its a larger map, so there is some camping. But every camping spot has plenty access. Benefits from being larger, because many people actually move.
