This will be the first time in 4 years I don't buy a COD at release, and the first COD since 4 that I won't own.
I know release day will come and go without consequence, but, as the winter darkness and cold hangs over Canada, I'm sure I'll be getting the itch at some point to play, but, it just ain't gonna happen this year.
Some of ya have mentioned just how different you feel without some cuntshitpile of a game and an evern cuntiershittierpile of a community controlling your mood...and I'm still riding that wave from when I sold my console, and then permenantly a stepped away a few months ago.
I hope for y'alls sake that it's a good game. $65 bucks ain't shit, but, even if I was paid $65 bucks to play it, I'd still cut it up and take a shit on it. My hopes are low. I hope for you guys, that I'm wrong...

I have zero expectations about enjoying the game. This is purely a no risk experiment for me. Next week, when I pick it up, if I like it, I'll keep it, if it's the usual pile of trash, it gets traded in for another game to play on ps4 (which comes out the week after).
I may end up just playing combat training (squads mode, whatever they call it), since it allows you to rank up. If I can enjoy that, I figure it's worth the money.
Like I said, if I get even one hint that it's the garbage game we expect, it's going back immediately with no hard feelings. COD has been a source of great fun over the years, and games like COD4 and MW2 still get me excited for gaming when I play them. Shame the community has gotten worse, and the company has encouraged it. They really had something good, and just sold it away it away like the whores they are

If I wanted to spend money to hang out with pussy, it would involve a pole and rearranging a chub.
Want no part of the COD community anymore. Not only have they reached bottom, they will all tell you to get over it. Not playing another game where hiding is encouraged.
Can find enough to do to get through this harsh 40 degrees for 1 month lol.

Sheeeeeitte, we got 7" of snow on Sunday. Yesterday, with the wind chill, it was below 0 degrees farenheit.
Y'all need to stfu....lol
Today and tomorrow, sunny and highs in the low 50's.
If I could have 6 months of 40, I'd take that sht. Hell, I'd be all over having a climate that was between 40-60 all year. Sht is perfect for virtually every outdoor activity I enjoy.

COD is what brings us together and unites us.
Sad to see all of you are so over it. I would say GAMING is our common bond, but we rarely all play together anymore. Now all we have are these forums. Soon enough, the forums will run dry and all the great friendships will be an afterthought and just a phase in most of our lives.
"Remember back in the late 2000's early 2010's when I hung out with that group of people gaming."
Just another period of time in your life to look back on, that will soon be forgotten among old memories like high school, etc.

True, true....
But gaming, like most hobbies, is what gets pinched out when life takes over.
I used to do a sht ton of stuff, biking, motocross, rock climbing, work out, snowboard, camping, hiking, etc. Now, I basically work, cook, prepare for work/mark, clean, renovate, maintain a house and yard, take care of my wife and our dogs, do laundry...and basically stay afloat.
I've pinched most of those other things out because they all required daylight and took more than a few hours to do. Gaming could be started anytime, and finished anytime. I look at available windows of time to do things, and, 24 hours isn't enough....and this is coming from someone who only sleeps 4-6 hours a night. Gaming, even if it hadn't been reduced to the wet, sloppy pile of sht that it has been reduced to, wouldn't be vying for a time slot in my day.
I blame the game, the connections, and the community, but, realistically, it's more the path I'm on. In 4 months I'll be 39, and in 6 months I'll be a 39 year old first time father.
In a year I hope to have a business plan I've been working on get off the ground in full force....
Sht is changing faster than I can even comprehend, or keep up with.
No PS3, no intent to buy a 4 just makes staying out of the hobby all the easier...

For me, it's a combo of finding other interests (BJJ, constant sex) and a pure hatred for BO2, that just drove me to game less. It doesn't mean I'm leaving, more like enjoying a lull before new games come out. I'm a gamer, I've always been a gamer, and always will be. There's great stuff on the horizon that I'll be playing, maybe not as much as I did in our prime MW2/BO1 days, but I'm not going anywhere.

Yeah, see, for me, gaming was something I picked up in my mid 30's. Easy come, easy go.
Not to say I won't pick it up again sometime, but, that sometime seems an awfully long ways away.

Only coming out on XB1 though. I got to play Ghosts some the other day as it got delivered to my friend early. I actually enjoyed it, it played smooth. Again though, I was playing squads against Bots... so didn't have to deal with how the shitty community plays... we'll see though as I'll be picking it up for 360 at launch.

I haven't given up on gaming, I've just got to get a lot of things taken care of before I can relax & enjoy playing with y'all again. I've been a gamer longer than most of y'all have been alive, and I don't plan on retiring any time soon LOL!

College takes up a lot of time lol. Still like gaming, just can't do it as much. Plus BO2 is a huge turd, so that's kept me away. Today I almost played to try to get to Prestige Master before Ghosts, but I played one game and shut my console off. Game is just boring, gonna be the 1st since MW2 I haven't "finished"
