So my car has had issues for quite some time. (2000 Honda Civic)
Over the course of the last 5 years
New Alternator = 3 yrs ago
New Battery = 5 months ago
New timing belt = around 5 years ago
Now. I dont drive all that often. No need too. So my car sits for quite long periods of time. Most ill let it sit is a few weeks (Which I know is bad, because it needs driven to keep everything working right).
However this time, something weird is goin on lol.
My car is completely dead. Nothing will show power. I have a little security light thing by my CD player, its not even flashing. Thats how dead my car is.
Ok. I go to hook up the charger to it to recharge the battery. The charger is indicating the battery has a full charge? That cant be right. I changed the charger settings to "Jump". Because my cars in a weird spot and another wont fit next to it to jump it from that.
Cranks.... but doesnt start.
So now im charging it, even though it says its full. And im hoping it will accept a jump in a bit.
Any thoughts? lol

So it is attempting to turn over now? Before it sounded like one of the leads to battery wasn't connected. Possible corrosion that a bit of coke cola would eat right off.
Does it have gas?
we'll start simple lol

usually this happens when the Alternator or distributor won't start up. it might need to be replaced. again.

im here now syn so let me help you out.
Does it crank fast, or does it crank slow?
Fast crank:
Fuel related issue. Pull plug wires and put them close to the body/egine block to see if they Arc. If the arc is strong, pump the gas pedal a few times. If the fuel isnt getting to your engine, your fuel pump may have taken a shit, or your fuel filter has clogged because I bet you $10 your not putting Sta-Bil in the tank to keep the gas fresh so it thickens up and clogs your filter.
Slow Crank:
LOWWW battery. Try to jump start it. Sometimes batteries will get so dead, they read fully charged, but once you put a load on them, they just tick. My honda was doing it last week so I put in a new bettery and went along with my day.
Let me know buddy boy.

I got it up and going same day I posted this.
I left the battery on the charger, even though it read full.
After about 1 hour 30 minutes it started right up.
Stupid Battery/Battery charger.

I use a red top duralast in my car... its the only company that makes batteries small enough for hondas, and its gotta be a red top or its special order to get the gold top...
