Im going to make some changes to my youtube channel and videos going forward.
Possible changes - say good or bad.
Losing the intro. No longer want to have an intro on my videos. After having my current one for AGES and looking for a new one for the last few weeks ive decided im going to get rid of it altogether. While it helps establish a brand and an identity, I feel like it might be a turn off to some people.
Opting for in video advertising. Going to start creating graphics to pop up during videos advertising my twitter account, and try to be MORE active on twitter. Just a simple stylish design to go in a corner for about 10 seconds of my video.
Thinking of changing out my spinning coin. Not sure what I want to put on the screen, but im finding the coin to be too obtrusive. Im thinking smaller. Maybe something that simply says "3FourthsMonster" that is semi transparent.
Yay or Nay on any of these ideas and why? Think from an outsiders standpoint as well.
Thanks ladies and Gents.

When I click on a vid and anything pops up blocking the score, hud, anything in corners, I click the X without reading it or what its there for. Its just in the way and if more than 3 pop up on a screen, X out vid.
Just don't have a big pop up of advertising on screen that you have to clear to see vid, that will run many off.

Its going to all be part of the video, nothing that you can physically close. And I'll only place them in non-obtrusive areas (where it wont be blocking anything).Alpha wrote:When I click on a vid and anything pops up blocking the score, hud, anything in corners, I click the X without reading it or what its there for. I like videos with no intro and an outro that links to older videos on the same channel. So, maybe think of that idea for your outro, too. It makes users play more of your videos and it is pretty handy for them.
Go more active on social sites and the likes. Like videos on Youtube, talk to fans on twitter and do shit on Facebook. That is a big plus since fans can play with you or ask you stuff.
Your last point is kinda normal. If you can do it, do it. Just make sure that design you use will not cover important parts of the gameplay.

What Goh said :d and what you have in mind!
Maybe just have music playing as the video starts? Not sure if it's just me, but if i hear some good music it gets me pumped up and excited for the video lol.

How does the layout of this video look

Yeah, that is good layout. I really dig the small youtube and twitter thing that pops out on the top left. Small, short but it does the trick. That what she said :p
I would rather the two linked videos at the end to be moving though. A frozen picture feels wrong, somehow.
