finally watched it
While I liked it on the surface, I have problems with it
1. the cleanliness of the ending really illustrates how we did not need this "mini season" and we were just strung along for no good reason besides advertising dollars
2. the end was just too easy, writing came off as lazy, and Walt went out in a ridiculous manner
I give it a 6/10

SPOILERS FOR LAST EPISODE
- Spoiler:
1. lol. A lot happened in these last 8 episodes. You cant say we didnt need them.
2. The end was written to tie up all the loose ends. It was perfect. Who would of thought Jessie was going to get away? Who would of thought Walt was going to go out on his own terms? I for one thought he was going to give himself up and be the "Notorious" heisenberg all over news tv in cuffs. I never thought the cancer would kill him, but it came pretty damn close and was becoming unpredictable (worse coughing fits, losing a TON of weight).
3. When the final season began it was written as 16 episodes, not 8 then 8. I had NO clue he was going to use that ridiculous heavy gun the way he did... until I seen the thing he was working on at the desert. Even then, I had no clue he was going to mount it in his car until he parked a specific way. The last confrontation between Jessie and him, how did you know Jessie wouldnt shoot him? Because he saved his life? Jessie HATED walt up until he made that grand rescue... and would of killed him if he didnt see the blood through his shirt. He knew he got hit by a bullet or something and would die on his own eventually. He was a wounded dog, and he was going to die.

I can say it, because that episode was tragic and brutal and made you feel bad for just about everyone, this week's episode was almost the exact opposite.
It was too neat, life isn't neat....

Oh okay. So you were hoping for a huge twist that no one seen coming in the end. Like Walt gets cleared from Cancer and moves away with a new identity, Skylar gets killed with the Rison and everyone moves on.Chisa wrote:Syndrome wrote:SPOILERS FOR LAST EPISODEChisa wrote:finally watched it

I was looking for something gripping, not a comfortable ride to the end
it wasn't awful, but it could have been better

With the writing that went into the series.. I suppose a more dramatic ending would of fit. But I like how everything played out.Chisa wrote:I was looking for something gripping, not a comfortable ride to the end

Chisa..you've pretty much said from the start that you thought these final 8 episodes have been dragged out and were pointless. When I feel that way, I tend to stop watching.

Why would i spend the time to watch 5 seasons of a show, just to stop before the end?

Because why watch something if you're not really enjoying it?
I get you thought it could have been better but you have pretty much disliked the show for the past 8 weeks. Nothing wrong with criticism but i guess if I thought it was so pointless I would have stopped. Like with SoA, watched 1st episode of new season then haven't bothered. But we are all different x

because the previous seasons were so entertaining, I wanted to see the end of the story
but like a book, sometimes, the ending isn't as good to some people as the build up of the story was viewed, doesn't mean I'm going to stop reading a book 10 pages from the end, I'm going to say "the book was great except the end)
I thought the conversation between Skyler and Walt was a good bit of writing, but I can't help but feel the rest was lazy

i thought it was a perfect way to end. i thought the entire series has been a masterpiece, and unlikely to be rivalled anytime soon..
but ya know.. i have give up on books near the end before lol.
plus.. i am not saying you are not wrong for not thinking it was poorly done. we all have different opinions, and it would be a very boring world if we all liked the same and never disagreed.

Currently on Season 7 of Dexter. Season 4 was amazing.. it's dipped since then. Heard the ending was bad, but will still watch to see. Michael C. Hall is a great actor though.

Watched the first 2 1/2 seasons of dexter. Maybe 3 1/2. Cant remember. It used to be on Netflix. Watched what they had on Netflix (I think it was season 1 & 2. Coule of been 1,2 and 3) and pretty much stopped after that. Tried to watch on PC... but never liked it that way.
Im on Season 5 of lost. About 3 episodes in. Almost done!
