I preordered way back when, so I would get the 1 mil for online starting out; which basically has let me buy a 270k high end apartment and have a huge reserve of cash that I'm saving to purchase/upgrade weapons and a couple high-end vehicles.
Other than redownloading it on launch day due to Steam goofs, it's ran basically flawless. I had some trouble this morning but that was Comcast and not Rockstar/Valve.
Graphics are amazing on my current rig, and my new rig which should be built in the next two weeks; depending on when my new PCIe SSD and CPU cooler arrive; will do it even better. It is however, a VRAM hog, it can easily gobble up the 3.5gb on my GTX 970. But once you use the Nvidia controls to optimize the GPU/Game relation, it lets you open up the graphics. I can push up the settings to near max, but then there's some lag. I assume when I am running an EVGA superclocked 980, I'll be running this maximum settings @ 1080p/60fps and still have room to run.
I am going to point out a couple things. There's a pretty shit interaction between Steam/Rockstar's client. So you can't directly add people from GTA5 on PC to your Steam, and you can't contact your GTA5 friends directly in game either, you can only invite them. However you can use Social Club to find their steam and add them that way, so it's not a huge problem, more of an annoyance.
I'm going to drop a couple tips.
-When you create a character, max Shooting, Strength, Stamina (in that order, any leftover do what you will).
-Max Lung Capacity works on PC, lets you swim for like 2 minutes w/o coming up for air.
-Bullpup Rifle, Bullpup Shotgun, Marksman Rifle, and Micro SMG are the best gun(s) to put money into for a LONG time. (Special Carbine is noticeably worse on PC)
-Pack Snacks have Health
-Do your Daily's (I just started this, and it's $25k and 3k RP for just the daily, I've yet to see what weekly/monthly bonuses are; but I assume a lot.)
-Jobs are the best RP source. (From Simeon, Gerald, Lamar, etc..)
-Heists are the best $ source. (Got to be lvl 12 and have a high-end apartment. Also try and do all 5 in a row with the same people and you'll get a bonus $2million.)
I originally was going to try and stick to only purchasing the best weapons in each category, I quickly had to abandon that. Since you pick up guns in missions/jobs/etc.. but it also seems to reset upon exiting and re-starting the game, at least the handguns. I think now I'm going to unlock at least all the guns/attachments; but only mod the ones I use.
FYI
Micro SMG = best drive-by gun until AP Pistol
Bullpup Shotgun = best shotgun until Assault Shotgun
Bullpup Rifle = best AR until Carbine Rifle (possibly as good as)
Marksman Rifle = best Sniper substitute until you get a real one and the heavy @ lvl 90
Explosives are your best tool for a lot of jobs, they're expensive, but money is pretty easy to come by once you get going. The 50 cal pistol ain't bad as a backup weapon/ammo conserving weapon in survivals and stuff, but all is doo doo in the pistol/SMG realm when you get the AP pistol. LMG's are good for survivals, not for PvP since silencers are the stuff that doodootrucks are made of.

Same as on consoles. Every 7th day in a row is $100,000 and 15,000 RP. Every 28th day in a row is $500,000 and 50,000 RP. It all adds up fast for what you can usually do in 15 minutes.

It takes like 5-10 minutes every day. I'm at least doing the next 30 days.
Also, PC has custom radio station. You can just put music files in a GTAV folder and play that vs stock radio channels.

Return that shit and get it for PC.
Do you know how gangster it is to have a custom radio station?
I play GTA5 listening to Carpenter Brut, Lazerhawk, Dance with the Dead, Justice, Necro, Death Grips, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and all my favorites.
