i was absent from the gym for 10 days while fighting a damn cold. finally got back in there tonight and damn i have lost some strength. was struggling with sets of 5 with 225 when i used to be able to hit sets of 8. dropped down to 205 and did a couple sets of 8 when i used to bang out 4 sets of 10.
its such horse shit that a measly 10 days can steal so much from you.

And it;ll take 3 weeks to get back. Don't let the numbers piss you off and start half repping and racking before your set is done. Instead of 2 plates, put a plate, 25, 10, and two 5s.. Same weight but you may think it's more and push harder.
My chest is sore for the 1st time in months. Went from sets of 5-8 to doing 135lb bench 3 sets of 20. High rep on everything.
Wrist is either seriously sprained or barely broken so I've been taking weight off and doing higher numbers. I can bend it and rotate it with minor problem, but pushing or the motion of shooting a basketball is intense pain. And when I rotate the hand, the wrist pops constantly. Was hitting the heavy bag 9 days ago and it bent in a soft spot, so it was like a solid punch with the top of my hand hitting the bag. Next day, couldn't bend it. It's way less noticeable now, but I know what hurts and purposely avoid those movements.

Ended up having to go to Dr on New Years Eve to find out what the 2 weeks pain in my right nut and up in the groin area was. Kept waiting on it to go away. Felt like every couple hours someone would squeeze my ball.
Come to find out, it's really common in heavy lifters. I inflamed the nerve in the sac that runs to the testi. Was acting like a mini hernia. Any time I would sit down it got worse and pain came back. After a really fun Dr visit getting balls and groin pushed on and felt up. I can't lift anything for a week.

No. I looked for a guy Dr. At the point in life where you prefer a guy to feel on your nuts over a woman is a thing to raise eyes.
But the cute 20 yr old that had to get my info, take readings and ask what I was there for was fun. Made her shy nervous and offered way TMI about my balls for her to write down. She just said ummm, ok I'll go get the Dr. Then apologized for her hands being cold.

It's really hard to do. Because your body wants to lean one way or the other so 1 leg will have more weight. and when you pick up you can't shrug, or you'll bar bust your nuts

Got 170 bench for 5 reps the other day. That was fun cause chest is by far my weakest point.
Deadlifting 315 for 3-5 reps as well. 335 max.
Squats are no fun. I've been doing front squats. They feel good.

If you have enough hate to talk about leg day after doing leg day, you're probably enjoying the gym and not going because others tell you.
