commencing 4 hour update!
Fri Nov 15, 2013 6:29 pm
#52766It's funny you should say that because I went and got it with my brother last night and we got home around 12:30am and couldn't actually play something until 3am. Between PSN not working and updating and installing the update and updating that install..hiph0pan0tamus wrote:commencing 4 hour update!

Got too drunk and stoned to hook it up last night...LOL
Installing update now, interface is slick, the controller is already my all time favorite
Is comfortably big like the 360 controller, but has the button/trigger sensitivity of a sony controller.....perfect
Psn issues seem to have been resolved
Will report more later

The bacon was delicious, had some this morning
Killzone is graphically awesome, challenge is getting used to the lack of info on what you're supposed to do, and how to order your bot to do anything
Battlefield 4 is crazy nice

BR is really good on PC. Id be interested in it on PS. There is a feature in the game that lets you see through walls for a short amount of time... some type of special power. And with that there is NO hiding lol. After you get so much in a game towards kills etc you unlock a "titan" (mech) so to speak to use in game. Its pretty cool. Otis posted PC gameplay of it a long time ago.Chisa wrote:Downloaded and installed Blacklight Retribution, but the BR servers are down

So far, the ps4 itself is wonderful. Super quiet, user interface is much better than the clunky ps3, I honestly have zero complaints right now.
The controller is perfect

initial impressions of some PS4 games:
1. Battlefield 4: Everything the game is supposed to be. Graphics and sound are off the charts, player movement is quick and snappy. Unfortunately, couldn't get too far into multiplayer, since I got kicked out of every single lobby I was in for 6 straight games. It was DICE official servers, and I think they're having issues. What I can say, is that the larger player count per lobby and super smooth controls make this game the one to play. Zero complaints from me, a HUGE improvement from console BF3
2. Killzone Shadow Fall: Didn't journey into MP yet (have no idea why), but the campaign is pretty fun (story is a bit tedious at times with the melodrama), but the controls and graphics are outstanding. As long as I can get into a "cloak free" server, I don't see how MP won't be fun with the controls being so smooth.
3. Warframe: I'm honestly surprised at how much I love this game. I'd describe it as a cross between Mass Effect and Gears of War. Free to play, and I encountered plenty of people online to be team mates (it's online players as a team versus AI enemies). Graphics are good, gameplay is fast, I was shocked.
and the dualshock 4 is incredible, easily my favorite controller ever

Can you see friends online who are playing ps3 or only friends with ps4? Also, are the avatars the same as ps3?

I have to download that app
I can see when everyone is online, it'll put a PS3 or Ps4 symbol next to the game

Played some Killzone multiplayer this morning
Maps are well designed, look better than anything that's come out lately, and will take some time to know
Played the war zone where there is no cloaking, made for fun gameplay regardless of game type. Connections are great, guns kill as they should (faster up close, with a significant damage drop off at distance), and movement is the smoothest it's been in a Killzone game. No, it's not COD, but it's a good balance between ease of movement and just plain ridiculous. Infinite sprint is included automatically, which is awesome.
Gotta put more time in, but so far, a solid 7.5/10. Fun and different
