So, I've heard this a few times....that we're sandbagging the classic TDM game mode.
I think the perception by the community is that classic is the b1tches mode, because all the haters seem to resort to the same argument....that we're too scared to play with the "big boys".
Here's why that argument is BS.
In classic, we're reducing the game to the simplest terms. We're reducing the player to the simplest form, and we're reducing the weapons to the most balanced and most equal.
In essence, we're playing a mode where the players determine the outcome....where player vs player engagement is the core of the conflict--not player vs AI dogs, or remote CG, or any other form of disengaged combat. In classic, we make players play, or GTFO because no one can annhialate the other team just because they hid for 8 or 9 kills. If you are going to destroy the other team, it's done by hunting them down and taking them out.
You aren't a better player because you use an AK74u with grip and rapidfire.
You aren't a better player because you use a silenced Galil with an RDS, ghost pro and a motion sensor.
You aren't a better player because you use a silenced Spas, hidden in a room behind a claymore.
You aren't a better player when you get 15 of your 25 kills from inside a chopper gunner, hidden from 1 v 1 or even 1 v 3 engagement.
You just aren't a better player when you have to load up your attachments, deck out your killstreaks and go completely off the grid. This isn't the "big boy" mode. This is the training wheel mode...it's a bicycle with training wheels on the front AND the back of the bike.
It's also not a team based mode because the people who play here are just looking to be the hero who gets the big streak. No one is concerned with who's got who's back, it's about being a rockstar and putting up a gunship, team mates be damned.
No, anytime anyone tries to tell us that this mode is easy mode, we should just allow them the opportunity to see if they can beat us. Best out of 5. Straight up. No streaks. No ghost, no nothing.
My bet is they'll either start trying to put up their streaks, or rage quit because they aren't able to play, or succeed, without their countless crutches.

When Shadow asked to go to Regular all I could think of was silencers and claymores. There is a huge ball size difference in the modes. Regular core is playing out like hardcore used to, slow and 1 team looking for the other.
They can bitch about us being full solid party in classic, it fits us and its gun v gun.
We won that nuketown game without calling in UAVs or choppers. Because some 95% pussy said he was using our game to get his ghost pro. Can't shoot down napalms.

we do fine in regular TDM too....how many Blackbirds did we put up in one of those games?
I must have gotten 3 claymore kills in each game. I was also handicapping myself with the skorpion
didn't even put on my silenced galil class
I loved that we won without calling in our killstreaks, wouldn't mind doing that again for the ultimate in embarrassments

I'd like to play a night where we lock ourselves into 5 streaks and try to die before 7.
Then at the 6000 mark, unleash like, 10 napalms in a row.

die at six, great plan
I wish you could cycle through your killstreaks, having one chopper up kinda limits our abilities

that spas was AWESOME last night....
before game:
Me: "I don't know if this spas will work on this map" (nuketown)
after game:
Opponent: "I'd say that spas worked just fine"
(I went 16-3)
I also got my first "Scrub": Spas Triple on WMD

I struggled with the spas. Admittedly, my aim is dodgy a the best of times, but I needed 4+ hits with it to get 1 kill. With a shotgun, even with average aim, this isn't acceptable in CQC. Face shots gave no hitmarkers, so whenever I came accross more than 1 guy, I was lucky to drop him without reloading. But death was always my end result.
I had to switch to scavenger instead of lightweight because marathon wasn't working and I couldn't chase anything down.
Lob a stun his way, then catch up to blast 'em, collect a blue bag and move on.
Might have to get into Combat Training to get the feel for the range and the spread.
I was trying to run with the Commando, since my numbers with that gun are so low.
It has a nice feel, but I found it makes you run markedly slower than other AR's

Fo sho.
Laser beam one minute, F2000 the next.
But when it's on, it's a nice gun.
Just looking to replace the AK with something else.
The Enfield was that gun, but it turned soft over the course of this prestige.
It's wierd, the MP5 starts out awesome, then it gets fcked up as you rank up. Enfield is great for about 25 rank ups, then gets soft....bad directional feel, tight hitboxes, poor hit detection.
I think guns are programmed to be better for some people than others, and they've strategically planned to have them crap out throughout a prestige.

I've noticed that too, with the Mp5k....don't have much time with the enfield, but next prestige I'm making a point of getting some kills with it. I've gotten my ak47 kills rising, same with spectre. I want to get more "Alpha" with my total kills per gun. Be good with any gun I get.

I'm trying to get them all over 1000 kills and 2+ KD lol
TDMC is the only mode allowing it because people can't hide as much.

I can't even get myself over 2 kd, I'm not going to try that for each gun, LOL
I'd like 20% accuracy with 2000k each
I lay down too much suppressing fire for 20% accuracy

I drink too much.
Accuracy isn't my forte.
Just aiming to have kill counts equalized a bit more.
My love for the 47 doesn't help much though.

I was trying to lean less on my lag crutch....but it's more the lag than the cocktails fo sho.
Watching the theater of some games, I'll be firing long after a guy has dropped. Gives me an indication of how far off things are sometimes.

Strange what stats we all keep up with. I don't even look at accuracy except on snipers because below 50% is crap. I shouldn't be missing every other shot.... unless its like last night and I fire 3 bullets in a stationary guy and get nothing. When you treat all guns like a Big Ammo M60, those 20% are few and far between lol.

I played some core last night cause guy i was in party with chose that. From the start.. claymores..rc xds.. motion sensors.. ARs with grenade launcher attachment.. all the general BS i had not missed playing classic. I don't think classic is 'easy' mode because as you've all said, it's putting player against player stripped down to the bare minimum.
Aside, it still makes me laugh in classic when i see the warlord attachment. They either forgot to change their perk or believe they still have their grip and rapid fire and wondering why they're doing so shit :d

People only call "Classic" Easy mode because they cant play it. Thats that. Saying you cant play with the big boys where they use claymores is retarded. The people have backwards thinking.
2 days ago I joined DJStubbs party (I was @ godz on his name). I invited Ranger. So it was myself, Ranger, Stubbs, and some Steeeoch guy or something (was in stubbs clan).
Naturally they picked Reg TDM. It was pathetic. We won 7500-500. Was the most lobsided game ive ever played. All of our scores were so high, Steeoch said he didnt get to call his dogs or CG. And he managed to get his CG up as the game ended. I was running 3,5, and 8. SO I was helping contribute to there top end streaks.
There is no point playing Reg TDM. There isnt enough kills to go around to establish high count KS.

My cousin joined one of our matches in classic and got destroyed. He then texted me saying classic is gay because there are no claymores or attachments. I wonder how long he tried to set his claymore down before realizing he doesnt have any. Lol.
