Does a single publisher in the world understand that their stupid business practices are the reason gaming is losing steam? People don't want to keep shelling out cash for all this garbage: http://www.theverge.com/2013/2/27/4037306/ea-will-be-building-microtransactions-into-all-of-our-games

This was about the extra stuff you could buy (like if you wanted to level a gun without grinding etc). I have no problem with it.

the only thing I'm willing to pay extra for, is dedicated servers (in theory, if I have to), otherwise, I've spent enough on my console, game, controllers, and headset

This has been happening on PC for years. It's known as pay2win. You spend money, insta-upgrade your gun or whatever, then decimate your opponents who are playing the game 'legit'.

Pay one dollar to get the "Fire Flower" on your copy of Super Mario for a whole level. Even if you die, you will still have it!

This feature has been in enough games for EA to have done the maths - they wouldn't be bringing it in to every game if there wasn't evidence that people will actually buy it. At the end of the day it doesn't affect me as long as it doesn't truly become pay2win
