Yes it is true I defend a persons right to play as they want. That does not mean it does not make me want to piss on their face when I get killed by an ADS door hugger.
The CD Player wrote:she knows we won't ban her. if there are no members who support camping on the site who's she gonna defend?
And the flip side to that is if everyone is of the same mind or ilk, then what is there to debate about? Surely when a thread is made and a topic is discussed there always has to be two sides or more. If not then essentially the thread becomes a thread for bitching about something not discussing it, right?
That being said I know the rules and I chose to join up so I know what to expect and what is expected of me.

not necessarily. there were practically no threads on camping back when cod4 was the latest game (on cod4boards). mainly because it was considered cheap and not a useful tactic. you never heard of any player who was a beast back then because he watched out of a window all day. the players that were role models were proactive players. that's the message we are trying to bring back.
this site isn't completely based on campers gtfo. it's about trying to become better at the game, and not idolizing a player because he has consistently high kd while putting in minimal effort. you can't become much better at a game when alls you do is stay hunkered down in a building. there's a limit you can reach to what you can do. we're trying to get people up outta their hiding place and up running around increasing their reaction time, anticipation skills, and map knowledge.

Out of everything I have ever read on the battle between campers and rushers, this is by far the best explanation of what you guys stand for. This should be used as the general given when the topic comes up. Of course you will have to tailor it to how the question was asked.

You kick a ball back and forth until it goes in the net. And some ambitious people like Ronaldo get to be closest to the net so its easier for them to score. And since scoring only happens 1 or 2 times a game they get to be the heroes with all the money in the bank.

I like the arguments about how Americans find 'soccer' boring yet NFL interesting? I'm not going to rant (yet...) about the 'dumbing down' of many good sports into Americanised versions.
Don't get me wrong, I find 'soccer' just as boring to watch as NFL and other sports where there's a break every 5 minutes. Playing it, however, is a completely different experience.

^^^this.
sometimes i watch football and think why am i watching this...because sometimes 2 teams just defend and defend and defend .... like the recent man united vs marseille game..now man united are MY team and i was shocked to see we couldnt even put 1 past them...on the flip side ive recently started to get into NFL. i bought the madden 11 game..i think at points its unmissable and other times its the opposite. im still yet to pick A team that i think i will follow as i havent seen Every Team.
please dont throw team names out i have a set of teams i in mind.until the season starts again though(if ever) i will watch some more then.

i played football last night and it so much better,
show of hands...how many of you hate watching somebody play a game because you will automatically go a different way to them or take a different tactic.
this is exactly the same for sports i love playing i would drop EVERYTHING!! i am doing to play football. even gf time. like last night i knew nothing about it till 20 mins before i was dressed in about 20 seconds and i didnt care if i had a huge blister on my heel.
