Anyone care to be on Justin.tv with me for streaming our games?
lol, should be great for Team LA if we can get some good games. I will test this out tonight.
Ok: So I tried this on my Dazzle, and holy shit its so crappy. lol. I need to get a PVR. I will buy one. I can't play with the Dazzle.
My Justin.tv link - http://justin.tv/homescrub
Here is the game. Notice how the frame rate is horrendous. I am bouncing off walls, and I cant see shit. Since the software justin.tv comes with only allows for 640x480 recording, I had to just test it out and see how it is. Not cool.
Skip to 3:00 into the video..lol

That framerate is pretty much what i have every game. lol
In fact, some of it looked even better than what I see.
Last night playing on Jungle, I tried going up that channel connecting the swampy area and the upper part of the ruins, and I missed the channel by like, 20 feet and ran into the side of the vertical wall of the ruins.
Didn't know if I should be pissed off, or laugh my ass off. I wish doing a combination of triangle square square could make your character facepalm himself. That would have been the time to do it.
I might have to reset some of my TV settings....and instead of making it be 16:9, put it to a more square ratio. Seems that the wide screen results in more framerate issues....either that or it just exacerbates what might be seen on a squar-ish screen.

right! But that would also mean I need to get a new TV to get 720p. Damn so many cables!
I will think about it. I thought it last night and said, its too damn complicated, and just expensive to do all this.

Its not the Dazzle buddy.
Its your Upload bandwidth.
Since you are uploading (streaming) to JTV AND playing the game at the same time, you are putting a serious strain on your bandwidth.
I wouldnt recommend using JTV unless your Upload speed is at least 6mb (which is still not great).
Like ALpha said, I tried this awhile back. It lags like hell because 2 devices are fighting over bandwidth and its stretching it out. Makes it lag like a bitch.

What if you went in router ports and split them evenly?
Say 2 upload, break it 1meg port 1, 1 meg port 2. Still not enough but they wouldn't battle for priority.

I don't think I could split my router ports.
And Syn, i wouldn't know anything about how JTV works, but your info seems helpful. I won't be doing it again though, F that, lol.

There is port priority on my router. Its an advanced setting and its not called simply port priority.
Ill consider this. Im looking into getting a Firewire card for my laptop. It doesnt have horsepower, but it defo has more than my POS computer lol. If i do that I can TRY to stream JTV again with ports being split.
