Downloading relies on your Internet as well as your means of connecting your PC to it.
Your processor is at 1.6GHz and its an i7? That doesnt sound right lol.

1 - Is this a laptop? I think you're talking about this processor, which looks to be for laptops:
i7-720QM
2 - What's your download and upload speed on your internet? Get it from here if you don't know it:
http://www.speedtest.net/
run that and post the results

The CPU speed is right. That's an Intel ULV processor. It's not designed to be fast, its designed to maximize battery life.
Download Ccleaner. That's not a misspelling, look it up. Run it to remove unnecessary files. Then run the registry cleaner in it.
Next, defragment your disk. The built in Windows one is OK, but SmartDefrag is better. If you do the built in one, just run it. With SmartDefrag, run a Full Optimize.
Then, download Firefox and the AdBlock Plus add-on for it.
What Antivirus software do you have on it? If nothing, I would highly recommend ESET, but it costs money. Worth every penny IMO, but if you want a good free one, use Microsoft Security Essentials. And no, this is not a suggestion. You MUST have AV software.

Yeah, i think he was.
Thats what I figured when he mentioned speeds of videos playing etc.
Either net speed, or graphics couldnt process his videos fast enough. I think its his Net speed.
Great recommendations though Vette with cleaning up PC.
